I did not notice how well the album had sold until very recently, i dont see any reason now that this album wont pass 500,000 UK sales. It has to be said Will is the most consistent reality tv show winner. All his albums including his Greatest Hits collection have sold strongly and he has yet to have an underperforming album. While i would not call myself a fan i have enjoyed the odd song here and there. That said, i am a fan of his attitude, with the exception of his vert first few releases he has only recorded/released material he is happy with and believes in and that is something winners of X Factor should take notice of.

Thanks for your input pippa.

Will has said many times in interviews that right from the start decisions have been made to ensure his longevity in the business. He's very much his own man, a rarity in the music industry, especially given his roots.

Thanks TT. Nice to keep up with the stats even in quiet weeks.

Thanks TT, album sales are pretty low in the whole top 40, they're bound to pick up in a few weeks though mainly with the Brits affect, but we'll not go there.

Indeed, given his roots it is definitly a rarity, to his credit even on Pop Idol he stood up for what he believed in and spoke his mind and he obviously does the same to this day, and well done for doing so as it has completly paid off. Furthermore, Will has never been afraid to take long breaks away from releasing material and instead focused on releasing albums he was happy with rather than rush releasing a midicore album. By doing this he has built up a large loyal fan base plus attracts the occasional cd buyers aswell. While i am not the biggest fan of his music i admire his work ethic.

Thanks Ros, I did say that TT and Sunday were far more deserving than me and so hopefully Sunday gets rewarded next for all her hard work and input too. :D

Congrats suggy and TT. :D

I'm sad to see Will leave the top forty..first time since release i know but still sad.

Losing Myself will get Echoes over the half million mark i think :D and being optimistic i say single four will nudge it over double platinum.

And also are you remembering about how near The Hits is to double platinum SWF? It surely won't be long now and that will be BRILLIANT!!! :yahoo:

Yes! not long for the Hits now  that's all his albums over double barring his second best LIG.. You know Ros i think had Will come back with a sound smiler to what he had released before he wouldn't now be sitting on this success..it's was time for this change and he knew it, he picks his fights very well doesn't he? :P

I agree Bev, I think he played it safe with LIG and knew he had to mix it up this time, and it's worked! :cheer:
