BONUS TRACK – Dancing Queen http://www.entertainment-focus.com/news/st...mate-collection Steps fans have no reason to feel a deeper shade of blue this summer, as the Brit Award-winning boot scooters Steps are releasing their first album in ten years this autumn. Steps: The Ultimate Collection will hit the stores on 3 October including 19 hits. All the favourites are there: ‘Tragedy’, ‘Love’s Got a Hold Of My Heart’, ‘Deeper Shade of Blue’ and ’5,6,7,8′. And if this album weren’t quite gay enough, they’ve included a bonus track: Steps taking on the legendary ABBA hit ‘Dancing Queen’. The news comes after the announcement of a Sky Living documentary about the group revealing all about the break-up and behind-the-scenes secrets, leading many to suggest that a reunion tour can’t be the last thing on their minds. Between 1997 and 2001 the band scored a remarkable 14 consecutive top ten hits, and they may be hoping to capitalise on the reunion fever that swept up the Spice Girls, Boyzone and of course Take That. Steps have had a mixed ten years since the break-up. Ian ‘H’ Watkins and Claire Richards attempted an ill-fated career as a duo, before Watkins retrained at the Royal Academy of Music to enter musical theatre and did a stint in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. In news that surprised very few, he came out as gay in a 2007 interview with The Sun. Faye Tozer also followed H into the world of musical theatre with roles in Love Shack and Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens. Lisa Scott-Lee perhaps tried the hardest for solo success, and even took part in an Osbournes-style MTV show, Totally Scott-Lee, but this too was doomed to failure and ridicule. Poor Lee Latchford Evans kept himself busy taking part in celebrity panel shows and a low-key rock band, The Latch. He faced the ultimate humiliation of appearing as himself in the line-up round of a 2010 episode of Never Mind The Buzzcocks. In case you thought those dance moves were better best forgotten, Steps have set up a YouTube channel with all of their videos, allowing plenty of time to practice that air guitar and the perfect stomp. Steps: The Ultimate Collection will be released by Sony Records on 3 October 2011. http://sosogay.org/2011/tragedy-averted-as...ate-collection/ Edited October 5, 201113 yr by CHЯIS
August 24, 201113 yr Oh wow at that picture! Words are not enough indeed... After years of brown hair it seems that Faye's gone blonde again just for the occasion  Why not bring back the braids too?

August 24, 201113 yr I don't really see what the need for this will be, surely anyone who'd even been remotely interested will already own Gold? It's not as if they'll have garnered many fans since their departure...
August 24, 201113 yr Faye looks the best in that picture, followed by Claire, the other three look terrible, especially Lisa...why oh why did she ever get a nose job  Also don't get me wrong I'm glad they're putting out an GH and all but its hardly any different than Gold aside from IKHSW and YBS being included and BDD and OIMD not being included, and of all songs they could have put as a bonus track did it have to be Dancing Queen? if they had to choose a cover there was nothing else they could have come up with?
August 24, 201113 yr It's certainly not the sweet 'girl next door' Lisa that I remember from Steps. Oh dear, what has she become in the last 10 years? :drama: She probably demanded to be in the centre of the picture and with the way she's dressed and her make up/hair like that, she certainly couldn't stand out any more! I do hope that they tour again though because this is must see! I never got to see them first time around...
August 24, 201113 yr Oh dear that cover is horrendous ... as is Lisa's nose . Seems kind of pointless imo, but I am fairly interesting in seeing their new series. I bet Lisa's a royal c**t.
August 24, 201113 yr So much for "Ultimate" :( I was expecting the basic hits, and a bonus disc of remixes and b-sides. And the bonus track is Dancing Queen from ABBAMania? Cheeky assholes
August 25, 201113 yr I think Lee looks IDENTICAL to how he used to, and Claire and Faye look decent but mostly because of their blonde barnets (Faye especially has aged facially). H and Lisa look horrrendous. I will not even be illegally downloading this desperate PLEA FOR CASH. I have Gold and it suits my needs down to the ground.

Same here, GOLD is still available in most HMVs to buy too if people don't have it. There's always a few copies on the shelves in my nearest one. The only thing that may persuade me to buy the new package is for the DVD. Edited August 25, 201113 yr by Mark.

August 25, 201113 yr The women look like Stepford wives the amount of photoshop that has been applied.
August 25, 201113 yr Better yet, charity shops are lining the walls with them for £1 each  I got a copy for 50p *.* And I also was lucky enough to happen upon some FOOL who had the entire singles discography, including multiple different releases, sitting in a charity shop for £20! That was a good day.
