I can't see them doing the live performances on TV and then not doing them on tour. They're certainly good enough not to need to worry about their vocals anyway, which I think is quite a pleasant surprise. Deeper Shade Of Blue in particular sounded very good today.

I agree - considering the 3 live vocals they have done this week, I would say they're all competent - only H and Lisa are a bit dodgy (H sounds as strained as he always did, and Lisa has a few pitch issues); Claire doesn't have any problem whatsoever, Faye is very, very good and Lee even sounds ok when he's mixed with the other.

Considering how Claire's voice sounds somehow different, more mature maybe on the studio recording of Dancing Queen, live she sounds exactly the same as ever!

I still adore the final minute of her opera ad-libbing in It's The Way You Make Me Feel

Oddly I think the one with most vocal issues live is Claire. I think it's her lack of confidence, or perhaps she's holding back so the other don't accuse her of overshadowing them, but her vocal in that DSOB performance is the worst of them all.

Do you think that she sounds different there to how she did on the TOTP performance in 2000?

I was more referring to her vocal on ITWYMMF to be honest, which was really great.

I may be going to see them in manchester with my sister. if so, then I'm really looking forward to it as I've always loved them during my childhood and still do now.

The Ultimate Collection has made a #20 debut in Ireland this week which is interetsing becaise i just spent ages going through old album charts and om chart track and found the following

Steptacular #32 peak

Buzz number 23 peak

Gold #1

I could get step one as chart track onlt go back to 2000, does anyone know what step one's peak was in Ireland??

So the ultimate collection has already beaten 2 of their previous peaks.

They're #1!!

They apparently sold 60,000 tickets in half an hour on Friday!

This is all really the most bizarre thing to happen in pop for many years!

This comeback really is showing very positive signs now, and the interest is definitly there, who would have thought steps would have a number 1 album in 2011 and a successful tour.
Absolutely gutted that all the tickets are gone for the newcastle date :( the only ones left are £109 each, I really wanted to see them after missing out on the Gold Tour

Was going to book Birmingham tickets this morning but tbh I can't be bothered, will try and get some for the London show nearer the date.
