TOMORROW

 

I don't know how much longer this can work as a viable programme. With the stars' profiles raising exponentially how much longer can anyone believe any of them? Who's going to imitate Amy to try and get their own show etc.

I am quite the prophetic mind it seems with Gemma inexplicably MORPHING into a fat Amy doppelgänger.

 

Anyway, other brief musings from episode one:

 

• The two Laurens seem to have MORPHED into one Lauren

• The twin underwear models are awful and come across as closet cases

• Breast cake the new tacky plastic breast cooking apron?

• Lucy's boyfriend is evidently not her boyfriend but a cunty closet case

• Arg and Lydia look LOVELY together and could definitely be then next Wills and Kate

 

I had forgotten how ENTERTAINING watching a bunch of Essex people neither saying or doing much could be. I also find it MINORLY INTERESTING that EVERYONE seems to have SPLIT UP during the the period the cameras were off and here we have LOVE INTERESTS APLENTY introduced in the first episode. That said you can't watch TOWIE with any sense of cynicism can you?

The new characters (?) are all awful! Especially Mario...that scene with him and Lucy was ridiculously scripted/badly acted and generally NOT GOOD.

There does seem to be a bit of an Amy-shaped gap in the show at the moment, but like you say Jake, Gemma seems well on her way to filling that!

 

The whole Wright family are as repulsive as ever and I'm warming to (the original) Lauren more and more as the show goes on!

SO much more cringe than usual in this episode, them twins and Mario were just too much. Plus Joey's sister just popping up was a bit odd. I always find it strange when new characters appear out of nowhere like they've never been on a night out with the rest before.

I was literally AGOG when I saw Gemma. It reminded me of that app "fat filters" you can get on iPhone to turn yourself MORIDLY OBESE. There's Amy if you ever wanted to see a representation what she'd look like 8 stone heavier.

 

To think Harry thought she looked like Jennifer Lopez. The mind does boggle, even by Essex standards :wacko:

Oh gawd! I loved the episode, but my GOD the new characters are on their way to a car crash! The twins are just plain weird, and their "introductory" scene was scripted as shit. I'm LOVING the new Gemma though, and the fact that she's now randomly friends with Sam and Harry! :lol: I'm still gutted Amy's gone though. Oh and the Laurens were also quite funny as a double-act, not that we've ever really seen them as friends before.

 

 

OH OH! And Joey's high-waisted denim shorts - dear god! His fashion sense is hilarious! :lol:

Slow enough start to the series, nothing too exciting really...

Not too sure about the new characters yet.. I might grow to like the twins in the future. I can see them going out with nearly all the female cast :P I'd love if Harry took an interest in one of them, would be hilarious :wub:

 

And does anyone else think that Lucy/ Lauren Popey/ Gemma should be in the opening credits? I know it's not a big deal, but all 3 were included in the episode more than Lydia and Sam were...

2nd Episode was boring enough... But Gemma HAS to be my favourite character now! :D She's so much more confident now that she's lost all that weight! And where's Sam ? I neeeeed more Sam, Harry & Gemma screen time! [together I mean] ...

 

A show like this is only going to WORK for so long before the NOVELTY wears off and I suspect we're reaching that stage now. This series, thus far, has been dull, even less believable than before and it feels like the people are letting the fame go to their head. There just isn't anyone likeable involved. Who wants to watch people CASHING IN on the fame they've made from the show, in an episode OF THE SHOW?!

Definitely met Arg tonight. STARSTRUCK (although I'd blates have preferred Joey/Sam/anyone else really).

Got a photo taken with him...I'm thinking about posting it although I'll have to see how rough is is first as I was ever so slightly intoxicated. I asked him to say hi to Lydia from me. He didn't look best pleased. :(

I would've wanted to punch him. HE'S A KNOB! And his fasce is the most annoying thing ever! Still a little bit jel though.

Got my Singaporean housemate into this tonight. My job here is done.

Tonight's episode was probably the best of the series. Gemma, Joey, Sophie & Lydia were all hilarious <3.

I've gone from LOVING Lydia to HATING HER.

 

What a controlling bint and she dresses like my grandmother.

 

Jake, Lauren G was great this episode. I even loved her random 'Fishlips' comment.

Lydia's mother is a true QoL. Though I must concur with Lydia that coffee cake really is awful.

 

Best episode of the series thus far easily right there...

This series started off very slow, but has been brilliant over the last few episodes.

 

Lydia seems to be getting a lot of hate, the comments about her on the official facebook page are all really bad - I would be the same as her, if Arg said that I was bullying Mark. Both Arg and Mark are knobs, but at least Mark knows he is a knob, Arg just desperately tries to prove he is not one.

 

Also, I must ask who the f*** is Sophie?

I loved Chloe tonight, she is always wonderful but her singing this episode was hilarious. I never understood why people last series called her 'wooden' and 'boring', I think shes always been a great character and come across as very likeable.

Seriously hate Arg and Mark. Slimy slimy slimy.

Warming more and more to Lydia, why she's STILL with Arg I'll never understand.

 

Lucy and Chloe are my favourites though it has to be said, along with the new Jirk bromance.
