Posted August 30, 201113 yr As if there isn't already a thread on this absolute BEAST of a show. Pretty much the only thing at the moment that I'm watching - eight series in and it's still as good as ever! Obviously not anything too thought-provoking and I can't see it winning a BAFTA anytime soon (although TOWIE did so who knows?) but it's all easy-watching and good fun, which is never a bad thing. I keep expecting James Bolam to whack out his shrinking cap though and I'm deeply saddened at the end of each episode after he fails to do so. :(
August 30, 201113 yr Author Oh but Granny TV is so damn good! This is nothing compared to 'Rosemary & Thyme' or 'Midsomer Murders' but it'll do until either of those return (although the former is highly unlikely as it was axed). Mega BOO.
August 30, 201113 yr Oh Rosemary & Thyme was a delight of course! Loved it! I loved the preposterousness of the fact they would stumble upon a murder whilst doing some bloody landscaping and inevitably solve it by poking their nose into everybody's business when in real life they would just be told to knob off. And I loved that the Trunchbull was in it.
September 2, 20159 yr New Tricks has been a ratings monster for BBC One over the past few years. However, with all the original main cast leaving, ratings have slightly diminished and it is currently in the middle of it's last series. Is anyone enjoying the latest series or are people happy that it's ending after not being the show that it once was.
September 2, 20159 yr I think it's ended in the right way with all the original cast members gone. This series has been alright although not the same since Dennis Waterman left.
