I tried Googling him but just got a New York Director who didn't seem to have directed very much and an old Professor from some English Uni. ( Maybe it's the Prof who's doing the vid? :unsure: )

( Maybe it's the Prof who's doing the vid? :unsure: ) Mike began his career at Kirshenbaum & Bond in NYC, where he simultaneously tried this hand in both the advertising and entertainment industries, writing taglines for several feature films including Boogie Nights, Happiness and The Avengers. This 3-year period culminated just before leaving K&B when he (along with former creative partner Tom Kuntz) were featured in VARIETY Magazine's "Gotham 50" of 1998, which recognized the top fifty New Yorkers to watch in the entertainment industry in the coming year. From there, Maguire went on to MTV to become writer/director where he produced hundreds of commercials for shows - most notably, the MTV Video Awards featuring Ben Stiller, The Wu-Tang Clan, Madonna, Marilyn Manson & Dave Grohl of The Foo Fighters, as well as the MTV Movie Awards featuring Samuel Jackson - which gained considerable national and international attention. Based on the success of his work at MTV, Maguire decided to pursue directing full-time, joining Propaganda Films in 1999 and MJZ in 2001. To date, he has directed a number of well-known commercials for brands such as BUDWEISER, FOX SPORTS, NIKE and VOLKSWAGON, to name just a few. He has also worked on worked on music video projects, in particular; the acclaimed "Frontier Psychiatrist" video for The Avalanches, which was one of 3 finalists for BEST VIDEO OF THE YEAR at the CAD's (the U.K.'s premier video award show) and "DANGER! HIGH VOLTAGE!" video for Detroit's Electric Six, which features vocals from Jack White of the White Stripes. The song entered the UK charts at #2 and Tom Jones has been quoted as saying that it is his favorite video. Maguire has received numerous awards for his work, including One Show, Cannes and British D&AD. He has also been featured in Archive Magazine, RES Magazine and Rolling Stone.

August 5, 200618 yr When you go to the Rudebox site, click on MENU and then on VIDEO there is, well, a video... And it says "Music Video". But there is no Rob in it. Only the granny and a bunch of other people doing the Rudebox. Please someone tell me this is not the official video. :o I have a bad feeling it is though... :puke2: A video without Rob in it defenitely sucks for me, although I have to say I enjoyed the clip for Something Beautiful. But this ... :cry:
August 5, 200618 yr God I hope not. :cry: It is taking far too long for my Dial Up to open the Rudebox Site so I've given up. <_< I do remember seeing 'stills' photos on the Site which seemed to be Robbie and dancers. I thought they were maybe from the video. :unsure: The granny is quite funny but please don't let he/she be the actual video. :rolleyes:

Those pics look fab and I was already looking forward to a video in that kind of style, would have loved that. But who knows, the pics could as well be from the album booklet. Well, it's not only the granny, there's also a bloke with a beer belly and a little boy- nothing against all those, but I just WANT ROBBIE!!!!!!! :arrr: Well, we don't know for sure it's the official video, so maybe there is a glimmer of hope left that it is not this one we're talking about... I hope I'm not ruining it for those who can watch the premiere on Tuesday, but at least you're prepared for a worst case scenario :lol: :huh:
