Engelbert Humperdinck? Really, is the best we can offer to represent the UK is someone whose last TOP 40 single was in 1972?
Nothing stopped Dana writing a stunning track for Boaz in 2008! :o

She probably just forgot to write herself a decent song for last year then!

Engelbert Humperdinck. Decent enough he might be, I'd like to see someone younger and current for the UK. Heck, even Gina G. I just don't see him appealing to the televoter. And the UK is not "back in the game after 15 years out" so I can't see the juries backing the British entry so blindly as Italy's last year.
I almost wish that we had had the last 15 years out, they've left our good name in tatters

Oh, it hasn't been THAT bad has it?

Just sad times from 2003 to 2008 and 2010 as a reminder of those years. Hopefully the BBC will pick up this year where Blue left off?

For a country that used to view 10th as a dismal failure, it's fair to say that we've taken our eye off the ball regardless of my personal opinion of some of those entries! Ok, rephrase the last 15 years to the last 10, obviously we had a couple of successes but SO many fails, three last places and two near enough!

It is indeed dark times for the UK I must agree. On several occasions I do like the song itself ("Cry Baby" I must assume :kink:), but it just didn't come across as a nice entry as a whole package or solely based on the stage performance. The voters just haven't clicked with the UK apart from Jade and Blue, and that's what the BBC needs to grasp. Any baladeer this year would secure a Top 5 placing, from Adele to Birdy to Joss Stone, they just seem to throw random names at the wall and see which one sticks! :(

Bitch please!

Ding Dong? Srsly??

Annie Lennox is the latest rumour!

This is hilarious.

No doubt I shall be reading this thread in 90 minutes and a load of "Noooooo!!! " style posts and Pavel going "Ha! :D ".

The way the BBC are building this up, you just know it's going to end in one almighty anti climax.

Haha! I really hope the BBC surprise us, and hopefully in a positive way! :D Unfortunately that's unlikely :P
Annie Lennox would be quite good actually, so that can't be true :D

I'm fairly sure it will be :(

I'll probably have to wait til tomorrow morning, but I pray my internet stays on for then rather than cutting out as it normally does (it's probably due any minute now D:)...
