Posted September 11, 201113 yr PAE_TqqAlEs Discuss Stacey Solomon's upcoming début album Shy, due for release April 20th, and the lead single also titled "Shy" in here. 1. “Shy” 2. “Breath Away” 3. “Gravity” 4. “Only You Will Do” 5. “The Way we Was” 6. “I Hope You're Happy” 7. “Perfect You” 8. “Dream in Blue” 9. “My Big Mistake” 10. “Too Late to Love Me Now” 11. “I Walk the Line” _______________________________________________ Original post from Sep 11 2011: I thought this would never happen! By far and away one of my favourite X Factor contestants ever, and one of my favourite TV personalities of recent times, is to release an album! I'm really interested in seeing what sort of music she comes up with - I'm assuming it's original songs - and I really hope she's a huge success with it. “Since being crowned Queen of the Jungle during the last series, Stacey has had a bestselling book, co-hosted a prime time Saturday night TV show, become the new face of frozen food chain Iceland and is currently writing and recording a new album.” (That links also talks about her writing her first autobiography, which would be a really interesting read - it's supposed to be mainly concentrating on her teen pregnancy, which would be good to hear about from her perspective). Here's a really nice interview from Daybreak where she reveals the album details: Video deleted. October single; December album - hopefully we hear the single soon though, so they don't leave it too late like they did with Joe's single last year. Edited March 6, 201510 yr by THEO.
September 11, 201113 yr By MILES the best contestant of 2009  I mean Who Wants To Live Forever is easily my favourite performance of all time, and she never put a foot wrong! She really should've won (though thankfully I liked Joe and Olly too) so I'm proper excited for material!
September 11, 201113 yr Oh dear. Yet another one from the X factor releasing more garbish. Nothing against Stacey as I never watched the series and can't stand the x factor anyway but its ridiculous how many are now releasing material and competing against each other. Most of them seem to follow the same formular, releasing their album during the pre-christmas run up to obtain maximise exposure from the show.

You have no idea how this will sound.
September 11, 201113 yr At last! Definitely one of the best contestants ever on a talent show, just amazing. Even more excited for December now, first Rebecca's album, now Stacey's!
September 11, 201113 yr Strange, I was actually wondering just yesterday why she never tried with a music career. I always liked her more for her personality but I'm still curious.

September 11, 201113 yr Are you just inventing words to insult people? You have no idea how this will sound. If you read what I wrote, you will realise that its the x factor formula that I really dislike. For instance, very few of the acts write their own songs and rely heavily on material penned by other writers and many of the acts first singles are dire cover versions which rack up ridculous sales. At best, the voices are average and most of the acts seem to release their albums during the pre-christmas period when they achieve maximum exposure from the show. There is no long term proper investment made into these acts and when they fail to make the grade, they are dropped quickly.
October 28, 201113 yr Author She's three months pregnant with her second child, and is wanting to find out its gender! Source I'm really happy for her - you can tell she really loves Zac, and she's going to be a great mum to baby #2 as well  Hopefully this doesn't mean her music career is further postponed though :kink:
October 28, 201113 yr I didnt know she was even given a recording contract. She seems to be one of the more popular acts from that year.
November 26, 201113 yr Author 'Driving Home for Christmas', as featured in the new Iceland advert, will be her début single according to ManicKangaroo  A shame it's not an original song, but I look forward to a full version of it anyway - the advert is very funny, especially her looking up at the sign to Dagenham. I think the album will be out in February/March. Edited November 26, 201113 yr by THEO.
November 27, 201113 yr It was an obvious one for an Iceland ad, think the Rea original got popular because they used it in the past?!
November 27, 201113 yr Yeah they did. Is it me or has some of her accent crept into her singing voice though? "Haome fa cwistmaaaaaahs" :/
November 27, 201113 yr i think her singing is completely different from her speak lol - why release this version on the 18th dec though, never understand that - surely the 12th would be better or even just OA/OS to take advantage of the ad being on ever ad break?
December 18, 201113 yr Lovely song, I hope she can manage top 10 with it, though top 20 would be great as that's more than I expected!
December 20, 201113 yr I like the alternate version from the preview. I'm not sure whether to buy it because I already bought the normal version.
October 15, 201212 yr On Jonathan Ross on Saturday, Stacey confirmed that she has just about completed her album and is just doing the artwork in the next few weeks! She said that she thinks it will be a February 2013 release and mentioned about Ron Sexsmith's Secret being a cover on the album!
