October 12, 201113 yr For me, from the Sensual World onwards, the lead singles have been somehow a little disappointing, but not so with Wildman, it's great!
October 13, 201113 yr I think this is my favourite Kate Bush single since This Woman's Work - it's ridiculously addictive and really does get better with every listen. The extended version available on iTunes is just incredible.....
October 17, 201113 yr Wild Man, only in at #73 ! Now I know why I don't follow the charts anymore. I've moved on to chillout and ambient music, like what's played on Radio 3's Late Junction and World On 3 programs.
October 17, 201113 yr I can't see her caring much - it was her choice to only release the single as a download - if she'd put out a physical release, Wild Man would've been as much bigger hit.....
November 10, 201113 yr wow... you really can't get much more glowing than that..... I can't wait for this album - the return of the Goddess..... 2011..... what a year.
November 10, 201113 yr I am anticipating this album. And while I don't mind longer songs, they surely will get fewer plays from me. I hope the album is closer to the The Dreaming sound, cause I need new wonky music from her. Still, only 7 songs... what has she been doing all these years??? :P
November 10, 201113 yr I am willing to bet that the album will be good but nowhere near the exaggerations that the article above is claiming. Edited November 10, 201113 yr by tonyttt31
November 12, 201113 yr I think he's barely on just one track...and from what I've heard he doesn't even sound like the Elton we all know and loathe. I've never understood why she doesn't hook up with someone a bit more 'hip' - her collaborations have always been with toe-curlingly naff musicians...... Eric Clapton springs to mind./... then you have Lenny Henry, Rolf Harris, Tio Bulgarka...... I'd be cock-a-hoop if she joined 2011 and got together with someone current to make a...shock horror.... modern record. But it'll never happen. Perhaps it's not even 2011 where Kate lives....
November 12, 201113 yr I ADORE Elton John, he's one of the greatest songwriters ever I love the single, interested to hear the album.
November 15, 201113 yr It certainly is a nice album! I think the first half is too slow, but I like it. I was expecting something a lot weirder. Not that she gave any reason for us to hope, but still. Among Angels might be my favorite <3
November 16, 201113 yr this album, coupled with joni mitchell's 90s releases ive been playin obsessively lately, have made me less scared for the future/growing old
November 16, 201113 yr Oooo, which Joni albums have you been listening to? Were Night Ride Home and Turbulent Indigo the 90s ones? I'm rather fond of both of those, The Magdalene Laundries is wonderful.
November 16, 201113 yr YES! Both of those. Cherokee Louise and Yvette in English are my favorite. For some reason I can picture myself like age 50/60 listening to those records in some cabin in the woods where I live a modest life. idk idk
November 16, 201113 yr Oh so can I! I think I mentioned when I received your CD in the swap that my dad is a huge Joni fan so both of those albums were on constant play when I was growing up and hence I have a real soft spot for both. I really wish that she would re-record Night Ride Home as it's a wonderful album but does suffer ever so slightly in the production department... although both are amazing when you consider how long she'd already been recording for prior to the work.

Really? :o I sorta dig the 90s production. Feels retro in a good way. I also love Chalk Mark in a Rain Storm, which sorta precedes those two albums nicely. This one is especially amazing: YGiw-apJ9Ag ((sorry for going offtopic))
