Good on you Aly, nice to see that not only us ROBsessed people love Lovelight.

I don't know, this is the first single in a long time that I have a really good feeling about.

Unlike with Sin and Rudebox. Although I personally liked them both, I sort of knew this wouldn't be right. :cry:

When I first heard Lovelight I thought yes, that's it, this one could be big (and that with Mark Ronson talking over it :lol: ). Hope my gut feeling won't let me down :unsure:

Robbie Williams will release his new single 'Lovelight' on November 13th on Chrysalis. Taken from his highly anticipated forthcoming 'Rudebox' album which precedes the single on October 23rd. 'Lovelight,' recorded with NYC based uber-producer Mark Ronson earlier this year is a spectacular cover of Lewis Taylor's criminally unknown soul-anthem.

The single is backed by a spectacular mix package, with new re-workings courtesy of Soulwax, Kurd Maverick, Soul Mekanik and Ronson himself, that look set to follow previous single 'Rudebox' into club charts across the world. The single is also backed by a spectacular and iconic new video shot recently whilst in Vienna during a break from touring.

My head tells me that I'm not keen on the track, as I could imagine Justin Timberlake singing falsetto over a Timbaland produced soundscape would improve the track.

 

Yet, when I got home from the pub & switched on the music video channels, this came on twice & I suddenly found myself dancing to it.

 

So maybe this song only works for me when I have had some alcohol? :P

Oh please don't say It would be better done by JT and Timberland. I am totally sick of that American tripe. It's not even music <_<

 

This song is fantastic and I love it, but the album has so much better songs :wub:
