Is there any show that TT are NOT on... ? I've often envied you UK folks in times when Rob was on TV a lot.

Right now I'm really glad I don't have any British channels, I think it would make me sick. :puke2:

I had that thought about the Rolling Stones too. I wasn't sure about how much they really sold, but I always got the impression that it wasn't a lot lately. Yet when they tour there's always a mega hype.

I guess it's kind of good knowing that the "fans" (not sure the term applies to the likes that Jackie told us about) are still out there, but still it's annoying to know that they have not bought or have no intention of buying the album or singles. Because that's just what Rob's success is measured by, just like any other music artist, fair enough. As much as I hate it, but could you really blame the press for saying his fans have run off. Because that's just what it looks like when one looks at the charts. -_-

I agree Monsoon. The Rolling Stone's last album did'nt even sell 100k in total in the UK I don't think and has onlt sold about a million worldwide

I do however think, if this was a normal Robbie album and was promoted that sales would be the usualy 300k plus first week. I mean think about it, people who don't come on internet forums would'nt have a clue about most of what we know. Sure, most of them may be aware he has a new album out but Rudebox has cleary scared them off which is so annoying since the album has something on there for everyone :( No way, even if they had no intention of buying, would most people be aware Lovelight is out though if they did'nt visit internet forums cause they're has been zero promo <_<

Lovelight is now the 5th most played single in the UK with JT at 14 :D

I guess that's radio airplay, right ?

Nice one. If it was the other way round, I'd lose faith completely. That new JT single certainly isn't something for the radio, if you ask me. Shame only he will get a better charts position than Rob. <_<

BTW, who's on course for no. 1 ? I'd really prefer anyone to JT having a 2nd no. 1 single

(even *whisper* Westlife, sorry Scotty :o  )

Summary for monsoon -initial midweeks

SINGLES

1 Westlife :puke2: :puke2:

2 Akon feat. Eminem :puke2: :puke2: :puke2:

3 Justin Timberlake

Wonder if my dad would appreciate a copy of Lovelight for his Xmas? Ok he's 76 but still.

Wonder if my dad would appreciate a copy of Lovelight for his Xmas? Ok he's 76 but still.

Well, I think he would find it easier to listen to than the computerized noice that is Akon and JT :puke2: Westlife however may be more suitable, that is if you actually had the nerve to buy iy :P

TT have officially ovetaken Lovelight on downloads alone :arrr:

Should'nt be too shocked though. I mean they have been promoting a shocking amount over the past few weeks, and it's their comeback single after 10 years but I am still annoyed, not just cause the press will have a field day but because Lovelight is MILES better that 'Patience' imo. But what can we expect with the state of the Uk chart lately <_<

TT are currently number 4 on downloads alone, and could potentially go straight in at nuumber 1.

Lovelight has dropped to number 9

I swear to god, if Lovelight falls out of the top 10 revenge will be mine :arrr: :arrr: :arrr:

Would the british puplic wake up and stop making $h!te like Westlife get to #1 whilst a great song like 'Lovelight' is barley top 10

CLUBBING NEWS

the razz clubbing nation

By Stuart Barrie

PAUL OAKENFOLD is returning to the Arches in Glasgow on December 2.

He has taken a back seat from DJing over the last few years to concentrate on cracking films in Hollywood and this rare visit should be a cracker.

Support on the night comes from Paul Woolford and Ministry of Sound's Marc Hughes. Early bird tickets are £20.

UNBELIEVABLY, one of the biggest club tracks around just now is, wait for it, by Robbie Williams.

Uber-cool remix master Soulwax have spun Robbie's single, Lovelight, into one of the year's best remixes.

The former Take That star embraced dance earlier in the year by taking Chris Coco on tour. There's also a barrowload of remixes kicking around of Lovelight.

Any chance all the 'Happening Clubbing Types' will rush out and buy the single tomorrow? :P

Oh well, it will be a chart flop but at last the clubbers like it.

Don't find that very comforting.

To be honest I'm shocked about the dowloads success of TT. I never doubted they would do well with the physical release, but I didn't think that their fans were the download type- unless they have won over

that generation now as well. -_-

I guess we always knew that the RW fanbase (if it's still there  ) is not really keen on downloading.

Thanks for the chart update, Dory. Maybe I shouldn't have asked. :puke2:

Still, I'm glad JT won't get a 2nd no.1 single. Bad enough that he charts so much better than Rob. :(

Its not really a surprise to me that TT have done so well with downloads - they have one of the longest running fansites on the net and have held together a very strong fanbase and support for the guys (Robbie included).

Downloads and being IT literate isn't only a younger generation thing!!!

I have downloaded Lovelight a few more times (and haven't downloaded Patience at all yet) so hopefully that will help. Hopefully though the press will all be too busy watching I'm a celebrity and the X factor to comment if Lovelight doesn't make the top 10.

SINGLE OF THE WEEK

Robbie Williams Lovelight ****

Rick Fulton

ARGUABLY the best song Robbie has done since She's The One is a cover of an little known soul tune by Lewis Taylor. And, while it's covered in electro synth icing, at its centre is a beating heart. Perhaps Robbie's Rudebox album deserves another look.

( Yeah and perhaps the same newspaper should actually have listened to Rudebox before giving it 1 star a couple of weeks ago.... )
