I think that's probably best, at least that way we know for certain it will count to the charts.

jups, of course you are excused if you can't get the single anywhere nearby. :D

Geraldine's post is sad but true I'm afraid. :(

At the moment Rob has neither good promotion going for him nor supportive fans, or at last not enough of them.

I wonder if they are still out there just NOT buying his records or if many have left the RW fan world completely. Either way, it's just really sad.

To be honest, I never expected this to happen, maybe I was being naive thinking the RW fan base would always stay strong and supportive. -_-

According to a member of purerobbie Lovelight is at no. 8 in the UK midweeks :(

Not what we were hoping for, but personally I said I'd be glad if it made it into the Top 10. My expectations have become pretty low.

I guess it will give the press another opportunity to scream flop... :puke2: :arrr:

Am also pissed 'Lovelight' is'nt top 5, but it's only what can be expected looking at the god-awful $h!te that is above it. :puke2: Westlife BETTER not be #1 again. However, as already mentioned, what is worse, them being #1 or that vile Akon song. Shame on Eminem for appearing on such a load of c**p -_-

I am hoping Lovelight can rise before the end of the week. btw, Christina's new song is only top 20, many expected it to be higher than Lovelight ^_^ I do think her new song is far more deserving of top 5 then any of the others <_<

Another shock in this weeks chart is that reformed girl group 'All Saints' comback album is only #41

Evidently Take That is already at 17, so it will almost certainly be top 5 and ahead of Robbie.

Can it get any worse?

No.

TT are now #1 on itunes with Lovelight at #19

God this is so annoying  Lovelight is so much better than Patience (which I actually like) -_-

im surprised lovelight isnt doing better than rudebox, singles have gone so wrong for robbie lately he needs a big hit soon or even a number 1

i like robbie and take that but the new take that song is brilliant i think and i genuinly prefer it alot more than lovelight

I am not suprised at all, Robbie is out of mode in the UK. I like to know where is large fan base is. Well, I am sticking with him through thick and thin.

Robbie has had amazing success with Tripping Feel the Fever. Although it did not get to number 1. I love Tripping, one of his best.

But why is there so much riding for an artist on singles, surely it is the albums that are the important sellers.

No, it really can't. What a humiliation. :puke2:

Lovelight only being at 8 is bad enough (and who knows, it might be lower at the end of the week) but

TT being ahead on downloads only, that's just too much too take. Although I was already expecting it and now it's like my worst nightmare coming true.

I wouldn't mind so much about Lovelight not doing well if at least the album was a huge success, but if we're honest that's not really the case either. Last year Advertising Space only got to no. 8 too but at least IC had sold really well at that point.

It's like jackie said, where has his large fanbase gone... ?

Is it all because of that one Rudebox song, is that the reason why he is being let down like this ?

Although I like 'Patience', I think it is soooo bland compared to 'Lovelight'

I doubt Robbie will ever have another #1. Have you not seen the state of the UK chart? It has gone beyond and joke now. Unless he goes off for a couple of years and then makes a big comback, which I doubt he will since he is trying to break the world record of going though a recording contract in the shortest amount of time

Too true.

Rudebox is to blame, along with zero promotion from EMI and Robbie.

Yeah but they'll all appear back out the woodwork if he ever announces another Tour. All those hundreds of thousands of his 'loyal' fans who won't even spend 99p to download a bloody single. :arrr:
E-Mail from Amazon. My 3 Lovelights are 'dispatching soon'. :yahoo:

how right you are Jupiter, I had that confirmed to me this afternoon when I speaking to a lady who adores Robbie, her words were 'I love Robbie' yet she did not buy the single or the album because it is not Robbie's music and she heard it was not very good, so the feed back on it from fan to fan must be a negative, unless it is the press she was talking about.

But she did say she would love him to release another 'Swing' album or ballad album. She then went on to say her friend saw Robbie twice in the UK and thought he was fantastic and she did not buy Rudebox either  Yet both of them cannot wait to see him in concert again. Go figure, I can't.

So most definately they are very fickle.

The same thing happens with the Rolling Stones. They sell out stadiums all over the UK but haven't had a Top 10 hit since 1982. And their albums are hardly mega-sellers either. So all these fans go to watch them but never buy any of their records.

Oh, Take That are currently on the Paul O'Grady show. -_-
