Posted June 30, 201113 yr I haven't seen a thread for this yet, so I thought I'd make one :) Pixie seems to be close to releasing her second album, and is rumoured to be releasing the first single from it, 'All About Tonight' in July or August. Very excited :D Also, she says she has big news coming next week on Facebook :cheer:
June 30, 201113 yr Author This is what I've read on Popjustice forums: I have heard 'All About Tonight,' and it is really quite good. Maybe a little bit like 'Doing Fine' (from the 'Turn It Up' re-release), but at least it's not a ballad! It's a reasonably generic uptempo 'party' track, but you know it's Pixie! It could reach #1, but it might not. As with any track, it depends on the hype, promotion and airplay. The song is not a ballad: No dubstep. Fun, uptempo, HIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer: Edited June 30, 201113 yr by RC741
June 30, 201113 yr Do we know when her album is released? I checked, but found nothing in the next 2 month!
June 30, 201113 yr I was really worried about this era for Pixie, but not so much anymore now that I've heard this is up-tempo. I wonder if she'll do OA/OS? I hope not! Does her label follow it?

She might do oa/os, but it would be accompanied by the video and tv promo, so I wouldn't worry about a flop.
June 30, 201113 yr Seeing as like Doing Fine, I should think it should do well enough to dispel any flop claims ^_^ Can't wait!
June 30, 201113 yr Pixie :cheer: Ahhhhhh! Love her. Babe. Weapon. This is beautiful althought I knew about it but hey! The video's already been shot. It's onSale No Doubt! But meh. I don't think she'll flop. I think she's getting number one with her new album!
July 1, 201113 yr Eager to see how Pixie will do for album 2. She will either do modestly well or flop very bad. All depends how much her music has progressed. I personally feel the Turn it up era isn't the best we have seen of her.
July 1, 201113 yr Turn It Up was a really mediocre to bland effort, and not as exciting or lively as I was hoping for, but I'm hoping that the new record has a bit more life and identity to it.
July 1, 201113 yr I loved Turn It Up so can't wait for this second album. I am not sure how well the single will do though if its On Air/On Sale, even 'Notorious' had a video and TV promo and that still flopped, and Pixie's fanbase isn't all too different from The Sats. Hope I am wrong though, as I love Pixie and I would love to see her get another big hit. Edited July 1, 201113 yr by Davidson
July 1, 201113 yr I Would say Pixie's got a bigger fanbase than Saturdays. Mama Do has outsold Each Saturday single. Her album has outsold all Saturday albums combined! And she's not had as much support at Saturdays... Coming from a Saturday Fan!
July 1, 201113 yr The Saturdays seem to have a bigger fanbase, but yeah I'd say Pixie does have the bigger fanbase, sales don't lie!
July 2, 201113 yr Notorious was a poor single hence why it flopped. I don't think fan bases or whether it was done on On air thing are the reason for why it flopped.
July 7, 201113 yr Her first album is really good. Hope she can manage to maintain the success she has already had as many artists often struggle to achieve this with their second album.
July 7, 201113 yr Her first album is really good. Hope she can manage to maintain the success she has already had as many artists often struggle to achieve this with their second album. Well as much as I love her I don't see her career lasting more than 3 albums, but I don't see anything wrong in enjoying her while we can :D
July 7, 201113 yr Well as much as I love her I don't see her career lasting more than 3 albums, but I don't see anything wrong in enjoying her while we can :D Unless her album bombs then she wont last. However she will no doubt have an Arena tour coming up after selling out her previous tour in days.
July 12, 201113 yr Pixie Lott has revealed that she has recorded duets with Stevie Wonder and John Legend for her upcoming second album. The 'Cry Me Out' singer told BBC Radio 1 that she is a "massive fan" of soul legend Wonder and described their track as a "feel-good, throwback record". Wonder also plays the harmonica on the song. "I've been such a massive fan [of Stevie Wonder]for so many years, it's crazy to actually see him in the flesh. I met his family and his wife, I spoke to him for a while and he's such a legend," she said. Lott described the John Legend duet as "very vocal". She added: "I'm a massive fan of John Legend so I was really, really excited and happy about that." Lott also revealed that her second album, to be released on November 7, will be more personal than her debut. "I'm not afraid to use my personal experiences and put them into a song. I think that's when you get the best stuff anyway, when it's real emotion." The singer had previously told Digital Spy that she had collaborated with big-name stars for the album. She premiered her brand new single 'All About Tonight' yesterday. 'Very personal' it better have more fun pop tracks like AAT rather than soulful ballads...
July 13, 201113 yr Very good! Better than any of her other album tracks (although I liked 'Here We Go Again', 'Rolling Stone' and 'Doing Fine' a lot).
