Madonna opens Wembley's Arena Square

02 August 2006 - 10:21:07

Madonna helped to open a new public space at Wembley yesterday, before the start of her run of Wembley Arena shows.

Arena Square, an area the size of London's Leicester Square, will display a collection of handprints by global celebrities, as well as an interactive fountain, lighting and music display. The singer unveiled a bronze plaque of her handprints, the first of what is intended to be a limited collection.

Madonna says, "I'm very excited about my upcoming Wembley shows and am honoured to be the first performer to unveil a plaque at the Square of Fame. I look forward to seeing other artists adding their handprints alongside mine."

Thanks for posting! Heard something about this ont he radio earlier, but wasn't really listening! Great to see her out and about in public . It's a great idea with that handprint thing :o!
there are loads of tickets left i have read in many places, she hasnt sold all her dates out yet,she is far to greedy charging those harsh prices, she is robbing her fans of money, havent they done enough for her over the years without her robbing them now,i refused to buy a ticket with those prices and im a big fan,

Big spectacular shows cost alot of money my friend. If you wanna see an extravaganza, pay n' go or else go n' see Mariah Carey, not bad for a tenner :)

And the all the best seats have sold out, only the $h!tty back stuff is available but going fast as well!

Well Kylie's aren't expensive and that's an extravaganza what's Madonna's excuse?
Big spectacular shows cost alot of money my friend.

But isnt Madonna earning enough - she could pay for that out of ther own back pocket and would probably only be about 0.5 of whats she's earning!
