Is it charting just because it's 10 years old?

no... some fans remembered there was meant to be a pt 2 and bothered dj white shadow about it who said there was unreleased 2nd ARTPOP album and the fans decided to buy it into getting Gaga' attention.

Ironically, besides the 'Monster' EP, 'ARTPOP' is Gaga's only really good album as a whole. I don't know why she says it was ahead of it's time... if she hadn't had such a messy second single moment, it'd have been a huge era. 'Applause', though not radio friendly AT ALL, was a radio hit.

Wat? Artpop is awful and easily one of her worst two albums. Gypsy would have been a huge hit. Wih GaGa' star power and pop's force at that time, a competent first single would have been huge in the charts and on the radio. The radio were guaranteed to play ANYTHING she released. The album is so bad that it only has, like, four hits on it: Gypsy, DWUW, Applause as a later single, and ARTPOP the song. That's it! The grating dishwasher production on the rest is just uff.

^have to agree, Gaga at her worst, can't be worst produced, they should have aborted the whole thing

you say 4 good songs, I'd say really 0 :o

It's definitely her worst album, it's all too spread out and too loud for the radio to play or for longevity purposes.

However, the album's messy campaign ended its life prematurely, the era could have been much bigger without the mess of the 2nd single and a 3rd single with decent investment and promotion.

This has sold 256K in the UK so far per OCC article
