I think Rachet would've been the sequel, but I guess it got taken off because of the Azelia comments. It would have been great with that as first single, and I guess for that they were confused as to what to release instead, hence Applause instead of Gypsy.

This is certainy not her best era, however. It all seems to smell a little of desperation and is too try-hard, with the music not living up to it, unlike The Fame Monster.

Down to number 24 this week, its falling fast. This era hasnt clicked with me at all but i do hope a good choice of next single and get the album selling again,i can see it dropping out of the top 40 quick but returning later.

I think Gypsy is the only song that can save this era tbh. I don't think the public will take to any of the other songs.

GUY would do better than Sexxx Dreams. As would Artpop. No radio would touch Sexxx Dreams with a disco stick.
I'm not saying it would be a big hit, but it would at least get some airplay.

Finally got the album a few days ago, I was waiting for it to be knocked down in price a bit.

Definitely an improvement on Born This Way for me - like that one, this has great highs and shockingly bad lowpoints, but this one atleast has more highs. 'Applause', 'Do What You Want', 'Artpop', 'G.U.Y.', and especially 'Gypsy' (even though it's blatantly a deliberate attempt to recreate 'Edge Of Glory') are gems which are up there with almost anything in her discography. On the other hand, virtually all the other tracks on the album are either disjointed messes ('Venus' for example has a decent chorus, but is totally ruined by that jarring "take me to your planet" bit which sounds like it's from a completely different song) or are just downright horrible to listen to (especially the rancid 'Donatella' and 'Jewels n Drugs').

I guess my pick for the 3rd single would be 'Gypsy', but I'm a little sceptical whether ANYTHING can turn things round for her at this point. People generally seem to now be so outright hostile to her that they just roll their eyes and switch stations as soon as any of her songs come on. It's hard to see how any artist can ever recover when people aren't even willing to give any of their songs a chance. I do strongly believe 'Do What You Want' would've been a big hit in the hands of almost anyone else.

Anything other than 'Gypsy' is an idiotic single choice!
Slightly surprised they're even letting her do a 3rd single.
Gypsy has been uploaded to the official Interscope Soundcloud page. So it's probably third.
Spot the difference: Lady Gaga's Artpop goes from blacklist in China to black tights

Before and after: Lady Gaga's Artpop album cover art gets photoshopped to cover her up.

Chinese authorities have lifted a three-year ban on Lady Gaga's music, but only after ordering the flamboyant pop diva to cover her bare legs and partly visible breasts on the front of her album Artpop.

In the cover art approved by Chinese authorities, black stockings have been added and the ball behind which Gaga is sitting is substantially enlarged to cover most of the singer's body.

The song title Sexxx Dreams has also been changed to X Dreams.

Gaga's official Twitter feed said the 27-year-old pop icon was excited about the ban being lifted, but made no mention about the enforced changes to the album.

“The Chinese Government approved ARTPOP to be released in China with all 15 songs! Next I hope I can come to perform!”

Artpop is now available for pre-order in China, which will officially go on sale on January 31, more than two months after it topped the US Billboard charts in November.

In 2011, China's Ministry of Culture added six Lady Gaga songs from her second album Born This Way, including Edge of Glory and Americano, to a blacklist of 100 foreign songs.

Authorities said her music was “against regulations” and accused her songs of “creating confusion in the order of the online music market, and damaging the nation's cultural security”.

Now, all 15 tracks on Artpop will be released uncensored.

Other Western artists taken off the government blacklist include Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Beyoncé, and '90s boyband Backstreet Boys.

Exactly how officials choose which song to remove from the blacklist remains a mystery.

Meanwhile, Gaga isn't the only standard bearer for western culture to be accepted in apparently more liberal moves by the Chinese.

Gay icon Ellen DeGeneres is the first American to have her talk show acquired by a Chinese broadcaster.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show has been bought by Sohu, an online broadcaster, which is the Chinese equivalent of the American online giants Netflix and Hulu, according to Warner Bros.

Warner Bros Worldwide Television Distribution president Jeffrey Schlesinger said Ellen's strength was her point of difference from the mainstream of "controversial, conflict-oriented talk shows".

"It has become an increasingly positive alternative in daytime featuring the biggest stars from worlds of film, television and music," he said.

The show will be subtitled in Chinese and made available in the world's biggest TV market within 48 hours of airing in the US.

"[it] is one of the most well-known talk shows in the US and we believe it could also have strong appeal and relevance with the Chinese audience," Sohu's chairman and chief executive Dr Charles Zhang said.

The album has fallen out of the uk top 40 today.I am so worried. She needs to put out a 3rd single. And it has to be Dope.it will sell the album

'Dope' would have sold the album already as a promo single and all. Its topic could be a little controvertial and lose her some casual listeners at the same time, and it doesn't scream 'hit single' either.

gypsygypsygypsy :bounce: <3

My opinion but I think dope would be like the edge of glory successwise. It got to #8 on the hot 100.not even do what u want could go top 10...

Are the Artpop Act 2 rerelease rumours true does anyone know ?
