The chart is meant to represent the highest selling singles of the *week* anyway, not the month. Even if it is slightly 'skewed' by labels tactically releasing, if a song is popular enough over a calendar week to get to #1 that particular week it should count as a #1.

Just because you disagree with some of the recent number 1s the chart compilation needs to be changed??? The chart has always listed the best selling singles / songs of the week it should continue to be that way! If you start messing around with split weeks etc; it loses its whole purpose. And no matter what way you change it you're still goin to end up with number 1s that you don't like......

 

not the case! my comments are entirely objective, I much prefer some of the joke no.1's to Maroon 5 FYI.
