Posted October 10, 201114 yr UK Midweek Chart update: Evanescence and Rihanna sitting pretty 11:15 | Tuesday October 11, 2011 By Charlotte Otter Source: MW Rihanna and Calvin Harris look set to keep their hold atop the UK's Singles Charts for a second week running, according to today's Midweek update - as Evanescence eyes up the number one slot on this week’s top 75 albums with their self-titled third record. Singles The Midweek Singles Chart is a very different picture, with only five new entries this week. The highest comes from Gym Class Heroes / Adam Levine’s Stereo Heart, which is neck and neck with Matt Cardle’s Run For Your Life at numbers four and five respectively. Run For Your Life isn’t the only new entry from Cardle however, with the 2010 X Factor winner also debuting at 27 and 28 in the midweeks with Lost & Found and Chemical. The only other new entries come from Timbaland Feat. Pitbull’s Pass At Me and Wolfgang Gartners Feat. will.i.am who both look set to enter in the Top 40. Elsewhere, Atlantic’s Christina Perri leaps up the singles charts from 12 -3 with her single Jar Of Hearts while Sak Noel’s Loca People and Goo Goo Dolls’ Iris slide 3-8 and 5-10 respectively. Albums EMI-signed Evanescence are more than 2,000 sales ahead of their closest competitor, Steps, The Ultimate Collection, which debuts at number two on today's OCC Midweek Album Chart. However, The Ultimate Collection only a few hundred sales ahead of Adele’s 21, the album could slip down the chart as the week continues. Evanescence and Steps are just two of 15 new entries expected to land within the top 75 albums chart this week, with Columbia signed Ryan Adams’ return to the solo stage, Ashes And Fire, Jason Derulo’s Future History, Katherine Jenkins’ Daydream and Bjork’s Biophilia all set to enter within the Top 10. Meanwhile, Cliff Richard’s 42nd release to date, Soulicious enters at number 11 in the midweeks – making it the singer’s 36th record to chart in the UK charts, while Radiohead’s TKOL RMX 123456 and Peter Gabriel’s New Blood eye up places within the top 30. Lisa Hannigan’s Passenger, Johnny Mathis’ The Ultimate Collection, Five Finger Death Punch’s American Capitalist, Ben Fold’s The Best Imitation of Myself, Fron Male Voice Choir’s best of and Exit Ten’s Give Me Infinity are also all expected to debut. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Top 40 Only Singles 1 Rihanna 2 Maroon 5/Christina 3 Christina Perri 4 Gym Class Heroes/Adam Levine 5 Matt Cardle Top 10 6 Ed Sheeran Top 15 14 Charlene Soraia Lady Gaga [Y&I] Top 20 Top 30 22 Nicki Minaj [superbass] 25 Lady Gaga [TEOG] 27 Matt Cardle [L&F] Matt Cardle [Chemical] 29 Coldplay [Fix You] Top 40 Timbaland Chris Brown/Benny Benassi Wolfgang Garnter/Will.i.am ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Albums 1 Evanescence [>2k ahead] 2 Steps :cheer: [c.200 copies ahead] 3 Adele [21] 4 Ed Sheeran 5 Ryan Adams Top 10 7 Jason Derulo Cee-Lo Green Katherine Jenkins Bjork Top 15 11 Cliff Richard 15 Lady GaGa [bTW] Top 20 Christina Perri Top 30 Radiohead Peter Gabriel Top 40 Lisa Hannigan Johnny Mathis 39 Civil Wars Nicki Minaj NO SALES INFO ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ARTIST UPDATES Singles LMFAO 5+2 Sak Noel 5+3 One Direction 5+4 Goo Goo Dolls 5+5 James Morrison 10+3 Nicki Minaj ft. October 10, 201114 yr Author PLEASE READ THESE RULES BEFORE POSTING [01] Any member that is caught spamming, or trying to cause an argument to get a reaction will be severely warned with a ban for 7 days from posting on the forum. [02] This is a mid thread for every artist do not go on and on and on about a certain artist to bring the board into disrepute. [03] Please be patient when you are asking for a request, as you might not get an answer straight away. [04] Any member asking for information that isn't in the updates we don't have, always read the topic before you post, I do not want to see questions like Where is Britney? repeated several times on every page of the thread, once is enough, bookmark the page if you don't have time to read all of the topic. Its not that hard. [05] Do not use BLOCK CAPITALS when posting a sentence its considered as shouting and rude. [06] Do not use Text Talk. [07] Do not use a light colour font when posting please its hard to read the topic, not everyone has 100% vision. [08] Please give a mention to who posted the chart info or the site name where you seen the mid info if you are copying and posting the chart info elsewhere, it takes forever trying to re-edit all the information up for you to see. [09] Please do not post lists, or sales info unless you are told to by myself or a chart mod, if you do have sales info that you wish to share round them off to the nearest thousand and name your source, do not post precise sales figures. [10] Regarding chart positions when posted when you see a sum/substraction for example 22+4, 40-7, if you add/subtract both figures together it gives you the actual position for the track. Its just simple addition or substraction. Go Figure.
October 11, 201114 yr Author Will Rihanna get a second week, or any of the other new entries from Matt Cardle, Gym Class Heroes get there unless Maroon 5 snatch it :D My guess Rihanna could hold on for a second week, probably doing another 80k to 90k for the week. Next person to post will get a virtual rolo, don't all rush at once. Bye 4 now.

October 11, 201114 yr Steps lol Are they really that hyped there atm? Or is this the same pink and glossy world you live in that with Nicola Roberts and Saturdays? I remember somebody saying Stereo Hearts would easily sell over 100k in its first week. Edited October 11, 201114 yr by SKOB

October 11, 201114 yr If Steps are #2 then that is fantastic for an act that were disbanded 10 years ago coming back with an album that is essentially an exact replica of “Gold”. :cheer:

October 11, 201114 yr Yes I agree especially as, as I said on a seperate forum that "Gold" is available so cheaply alongside it right now. It must be the fans who are buying it to complete the collectio (i.e. the likes of me) and those who aren't aware of Gold (whoever that may be). The addition, Dancing Queen, isn't actually that good, when I listened to it in the car yesterday I was really disappointed. :(
October 11, 201114 yr Good for them! I like(d) them a lot. It's a GH though and easy to sell with the right promotion and it's not like they're selling 100k a week. Edited October 11, 201114 yr by SKOB

October 11, 201114 yr Apparently they're 2.3K away from the #1 - whatever that is. Someone said on Popjustice Also - Amazon and other online retailers are out of stock and someone heard many stores are out of stock too. I think many have underestimated STEPS appeal.
