October 11, 201114 yr Author Interesting #1 album from Evanescence :o spiidey is on the case today, and Matt is... :o
October 11, 201114 yr Update posted :) Matt #5 today but possibly higher when combined with the 2 erroneous entries lower down. Think he'll have to settle for #5 this week though. Massive big YAY for Steps @ #2 :cheer: :yahoo:, could they snatch the #1 spot given Rock band's traditional collapse as the week goes on?!

Massive big YAY for Steps @ #2 :cheer: :yahoo:, could they snatch the #1 spot given Rock band's traditional collapse as the week goes on?! STEPS have got the advantage with the Reunion show on tomorrow night - so more promotion, and their on Lorraine on Friday - singing Deeper Shade of Blue, not sure if they have anything else planned. Matt #5, thats not going to go down well really. Though I have to admit, its the type of song that I think will fit very well with an album, but as a single, it's a bit boring Edited October 11, 201114 yr by Knightr634
October 11, 201114 yr I think Steps could take #1 this week then! Don't they have more promo this week? So happy for them!
October 11, 201114 yr I'm pretty sure Adele or Steps are number one on Sunday.. Evanescence CAN'T go on selling well throughout the week. Björk's top ten streak is about to end sadly What's that Radiohead release? Yay for Gaga!
October 11, 201114 yr What an odd Top 10 in the albums. Acts from bygone days are back with a vengence-Evanescence, Steps, Bjork and Ryan Adams, I wonder of sales will be high. I think Matt will stay at 5 although good to see Gym Class Heroes doing well.
October 11, 201114 yr Matt's physical sales must be weak. Think I read somewhere that he isn't being sold in supermarkets like previous winners.
October 11, 201114 yr Ouch big drop for Joe but with so many new entries he might climb back up a bit. Matt has to be disappointed with #5 after an XF performance. Pleased for Steps. I can listen on the way home now knowing I'm not the only one :)
October 11, 201114 yr Albums 1 Evanescence 2 Steps :cheer: 3 Adele [21] 4 Ed Sheeran 5 Ryan Adams Top 10 7 Jason Derulo Cee-Lo Green Katherine Jenkins :o  How can KJ possibly be this low?? Admittedly she is a big late-week seller, but even so, she may struggle to go T5. :( Edited October 11, 201114 yr by vidcapper
October 11, 201114 yr Author Matt's physical sales must be weak. Think I read somewhere that he isn't being sold in supermarkets like previous winners. If that's the case that's bad for the single market if supermarkets don't stock the singles anymore, the physical market is dead. Seriously what's the point of stocking charity and X Factor winners singles, if nothing else is available. It does make an interesting topic on its own though, without going on about it in here.
October 11, 201114 yr Matt's physical sales must be weak. Think I read somewhere that he isn't being sold in supermarkets like previous winners. Unless they cloned him, it'd be hard to do that in more than one... :w00t:
October 11, 201114 yr MW repoort added. :w00t: @ Steps, I might buy the album after all :) Unless they cloned him, it'd be hard to do that in more than one... :w00t:  For the record I'd DEFINITELY buy one :kink:
October 11, 201114 yr MW Report added, Steps only a couple of hundred copies ahead of Adele, reckon Adele will take the #1 this week, Steps #2 and Evanesence #3.
October 11, 201114 yr I'm surprised Steps are doing so well - I'd have assumed they'd be considered exactly the sort of cheesy pop that youngsters would die rather than admit to liking. :P
October 11, 201114 yr Author Any updates for rhcp? Not top 40 it got pushed out with the huge amount of 11 new entries in the album chart, 7 of those are in the top 11
October 11, 201114 yr I'm surprised Steps are doing so well - I'd have assumed they'd be considered exactly the sort of cheesy pop that youngsters would die rather than admit to liking. :P It is, it's just that every rubbishgai over 18 has got a copy (plus they're including a copy of the album with pre-sale tickets for their tour, but I don't know if it counts towards the chart or not).
October 11, 201114 yr Meanwhile, Cliff Richard’s 42nd release to date, Soulicious enters at number 11 in the midweeks – making it the singer’s 36th record to chart in the UK charts He should climb later in the week though - it takes a while for his fans with walking sticks & zimmer-frames to reach the shops... :w00t: Edited October 11, 201114 yr by vidcapper
