October 11, 201113 yr Great thread, must have taken you absolutely ages to compile this! Can I just ask, what is this based on? I assume it's weekly amount of plays added together for the duration of time it's in the airplay top 100? Obviously there's no way you can account for plays when it's not in the airplay chart. The list seems to be naturally biased towards recent entries, I guess because the 'sample' used for the airplay chart has just increased over time. For example, it's ridiculous that a flop third single by The Script is higher than, say, Fallin' by Alicia Keys and I'm sure it can't have really been played more. Some very recent songs seem to have flown into the top 1,000 very quickly as well, such as Collide which hasn't even exactly been massively supported. Edited October 11, 201113 yr by Bré

Some very recent songs seem to have flown into the top 1,000 very quickly as well, such as Collide which hasn't even exactly been massively supported. Its based on the Airplay Top 100 and the amount of plays that week the song had. The reason why Fallin is low is only because it was released in 2001 when the airplay chart wasnt published so I dont have information on that song at that time. Songs pre 2002 will def suffer in this countdown. Collide may not have got high on the airplay chart but it was still play a lot considering.
