185 - Adele - Make you feel my love - 39,751 plays

 

This amazing song really has had a strange and long chart run the the airplay and top 75 chart. Yes its a brilliant song but I suppose a lot of it has to go down to its exposure on The X-Factor.

 

 

It's amazing how high this is despite barely scraping the radio airplay top 40! It'll be a radio staple forever alongside all three of her '21' singles (and maybe 'Chasing Pavements' as well but I haven't heard it for ages, 'Hometown Glory' and 'Cold Shoulder' are the most likely of her 7 singles to be 'forgotten' in the future anyway) and will probably be more associated with the '21' era than the '19' era in the future - it did come off '19' but it essentially acted as a kickstart for '21' with the conveniently timed mass exposure on The X Factor and the like. (It was also only a minor and largely forgotten hit until late 2010).

 

178 - Hoosiers - Worried about ray - 40,691 plays

 

They arent my thing musically but I do like the song. I prefer it to their previous song.

 

 

Disappointed to see this ahead of 'Goodbye Mr A'. They're practically the same song but this one grates on me a lot for some reason whereas I've always LOVED Goodbye Mr A.

I'm surprised JLS are such a popular airplay act - I guess 'Beat Again' is still their highest entry on this chart, although I wouldn't be that surprised if the two ballads are ahead of it since they're arguably more 'radio friendly'. Take A Chance On Me will probably get rinsed on radio more than SMMW as well.

I used to be a big Blue fan back in the day, especially their first album. Actually it was just the first album lol. I love Lees vocals. This isn't their best but I did love it at the time.

 

 

169 - Alesha Dixon - Breathe Slow - 41,789 plays

 

Even though this has radio written all over it, im very suprised at how high this song is. It is a good song I suppose but I still didnt expect it to be so big on the countdown.

 

 

168 - Elvis Presley vs JXL - Little less conversation - 41,875 plays

 

Never really new the origional version but I love this.

 

 

167 - Kesha - Tik Tok - 41,943 plays

 

I still think this is one of her worst songs. Yes its not as bad as "Blah, Blah, Blah" but its still pretty bad in my opinion.

It's a very good song for radio, and it is excellent. I do remember this one a lot more than The Boy Does Nothing on radio; I only heard TBDN a few times.

 

I assume this is her highest one on the list then. Expected, but deserved.

Didnt really like his first song that much but I do love this. There is something very likeable about him and his new stuff sounds even better. He def has a different sound to everything else which I like

I cant remember this at all. I dont know how I could have missed it, since it was obv a huge airplay hit. Sounds ok though.

I didnt like this song at all at first. It grew on me. I still dont love it but its above average I suppose.

 

 

163 - Feeling - Fill my little world - 42,361 plays

 

Another great song from The Feeling. They really did fall from being such a big airplay act, which is a shame.

 

 

Hopefully Alexandra Burke's Bad Boys will be in the top 100 :)

I love this song so much. The album was great to. She deserves to be a big star. Songs like "Beware of the dog" is a total pop jem that didnt really do as well as it deserved. But I do love this song.

James Morrison is another one of those acts that I dont really love or hate, just dont have an opinion on him really. I do like the song though.

I dont rate cheryl coles talent at all but I do love this song. This is the best thing she has put het name to and im pleased its done so well on this countdown.

This was the first time I really started paying attention to Rihanna. It was good to see her try something different and I love this song

Better than his previous song in the countdown. That was I thought was a bit "meh". This is better, but I hardly love it.
