Yep it defaults in iTunes to alphabetical by artist, you can get around it by changing the album artist to 'Various Artists' and removing the sort by album act field (and, yes, I did do this!)

The earlier tracks in general were a lot better than the latter ones anyway I think! I doubt placing has a huge effect really.

I hope the earlier tracks aren't better! I'll be listening to the rest tonight so fingers crossed.

I skip-listened to the compilation and the earlier tracks are indeed better than the rest. And unfortunately I have to echo that this edition lacks quality compared to the last round. :(

Tom do you listen to Desire/Glass Candy? :o They're both super italo disco inspired (but are recent acts). You should check 'em out (specifallcy Desire's Under Your Spell or Glass Candy's Warm in the Winter)

 

Yeah LOVE Glass Candy :wub: Haven't really listened to that much Desire. In fact my collection is Desireless (Voyage Voyage :kink: ) Will check them out though. Largely I love ANYTHING Italo, but mostly when it has more of an old school feel (Flemming Dalum >>>>> Alden Tyrell).

I'm really surprised by Fatty Gets A Stylist, I assumed by the name it would be a novelty act :o

Just started listening to these. 5 songs in and even the boring one is ok. I think the quality is better so far than normal but then I always flop at this so what do I know?

That Caotico track is absolutely atrocious. Aside from that, liking what I've heard so far even if there's not one thing standing out as being amazing yet.

 

Halfway through the songs now... Sounds pretty decent but nothing really astounding yet.

 

Is that Caotico track sort-of cover of The-Dream's completely amazing and one of top 5 songs of the year "f*** My Brains Out"? It's a mess anyway.

 

The Twin Shadow song is gorgeous but I knew it beforehand.

 

"Up in the Sky" sounds like a eurovision entry but in a good way.

Getting towards the end now and my track does not stand out at all here, expecting a really low finish. :/

 

Still nothing has jumped out and grabbed me as being my obvious 20 pointer either.
