I'm absolutely loving this song. Even though it's a bit of a sell out, this is just what OF2 needed. I can't wait till this starts getting played in the UK. I hope they're not going to wait too long though.

I don't think she is selling out doing this song, I think it's another musical direction she is trying, and it is doing really well for her. In the U.S. they are waiting for a few weeks till after the OF re-release, which I think is a wise idea as it could be a big summer song.

 

It's also in the Asian top 50 already :cheer:

Even if you didn't like Don't Bother, I gurantee you will love this. If you have heard La Tortura, then think of it as a hip hop LT. If you havent, then just listen to it, for me pweeeese :cry:

Her TRL performance was great! I really liked her TRL performance for La Tortura even though most of it was mimed. Hips Don't Lie Performance is completely live though! It must be so hard to sing and boob thrust at the same time!

I loved this song at first, but tbh I've gone off it after the first few listens.

It IS a sell out. The album hasn't sold as well as expected in the US, so they are re-releasing the album with this as an extra track to help it sell. Come on, it all adds up doesn't it? :P

 

That said, I quite like this song, miles better than the AWFUL 'Don't Bother'. I want her to release 'Animal City' next, now that is a damn good song.

Well, Shakira said to me I was gonna LOVE this song, so I was disappointed when I first heard it. It's grown on me now though, and the video is amazing!

yeah, I realise that she wouldnt have done this if DB and OF2 had already done well, but I don't think thats selling out, after all, im sure she wants her music to do well, and she isnt the type of artist to mash together some random crap and hope it sells.

 

Animal City sould have been the first single, then OF2 would have done so much better. I think she might go for a slower song next, perhaps Your Embrace :o

I don't know. I think the "ballad" release of this album is going to be 'Illegal' - really expected it to be the second single. Now it's been moved up the tracklist, it seems more likely to be released.

 

But your embrace is my favourite ballad on the album! :D
