Take to the streets and let our demons loose

Marking a slight departure from the ''Altyr sound'', this month Gareth Emery and Alastor have been tapped with their London Thor featuring track ''Hands''. It's an utterly euphoric dance track, that has been riding high atop the national charts for 2 weeks (in my mind only).

Semi 1 results

Altyr have once again made it to the final, bringing our qualification streak back to 5. Can we make HISTORY and go for back to back top 3 finishes for the first time ever? Probably not, but I CAN DREAM.

Elsewhere, results were generally PLEASING, especially the glorious Hurt Me sailing through, one which is sure to be a major contender in the final.

Altyr make it 6 finals in a row

Qualifying for a 6th consecutive month, Altyr have made the final in Mulgracia against all expectations from the home crowd. Odds and predictions suggested we would safely be through, but expectations were at rock bottom.

The race is on for (adjusted) Year End #1, however, being mainly in contention with Aeroche this seems like one battle we definitely WILL lose.

Please remember all proceeds from votes received for Altyr will be donated to the Glorification and Protection of the Chancellor fund.

After a disastrous 50th contest, hopes are high that a return to a more CLASSIC sound of our past won't also FLOP MISERABLY. Saara has previously been entered and DNQ'd, however we have had much success in the past being cheap and recycling former flops into smash hits.

This is waaaaay better than the other SAARA song and sounds like it should return you to doing well. I think.

You know what John, I'm beginning to think we are both subscribed to a lot of the same Youtube channels

Despite, good luck with this one though, it's very relaxing

Loving "Out Of My System" - did someone play it on Plug or something? Seems really familiar.

ETA: Yeah I remember the video! Definitely plug. <3

Who's Loving You?

A year since out last foray into the tepid waters of D&B Altyr have tapped High Contrast and the vocal powerhouse that is Clare Maguire and their sublime track 'Who's Loving You' to represent us in the 87th Buzzjack Song Contest. Coming off last months narrow second place finish for Willa the entry has auto qualified straight to the final. Will this be the straw that breaks the back of the sporadic D&B hit in BJSC? Probably.

I choose violence

For our debut entry of the year, we have decided to go with the soundtrack to one of the best, most powerful and most satisfying moments ever witnessed on TV. It's the stunning, haunting, powerful ''Light Of The Seven'' by the ever incredible Ramin Djawadi and is from the season 6 ''Game Of Thrones'' finale for those of you blissfully unaware.

I have no expectations for this, bar perhaps bringing it to a slightly wider audience on here as it's truly one of the best pieces of music I heard in all of 2016. I've had it on my reserve pile since June but finally got round to sending it this month so here goes nothing.
