Posted October 28, 201113 yr Not a huge problem, but is it just me that gets irritated by their discography? I just hate how they had 'Headlines' as a seperate Album/EP/Mini Album whatever you want to call it! Personally, I wish they had just re-released Wordshaker, with the Headlines tracks stuck on at the end, because when they say 'fourth album' it just seems like it's all been too rushed and also it feels like they haven't sold much when you say this is their upcoming fourth album and they have only sold around 600,000+ albums in the UK. Anyway rant over. Discuss. :D
October 29, 201113 yr I count Headlines! as their third album. Works better than having it separately. What annoys me is how Wordshaker's production was stopped when Headlines! was released. It was even removed from iTunes...
October 29, 201113 yr I count Headlines/Wordshaker as one era myself. Most of 'Wordshaker' ended up on 'Headlines' really so it effectively was a re-release, or at the very least a continuation of the project. I certainly don't think 'Headlines' has the merits to be called an album considering there were only 5 new songs on it.
October 31, 201113 yr I regard Headlines as their third album, despite the fact it includes some tracks from Wordshaker. In some ways, Headlines ended up feeling like more of a "main" release for The Saturdays than Wordshaker did. Wordshaker was brushed under the carpet almost as if it never existed, while Headlines is viewed far more favourably. I guess this will always be a bit of a contentious issue in their discography!
