What a nice logo. She's playing London's 100 Club later in the year. New music in the new year I should imagine.

Once again what a lovely logo.

I have a magazine scan from NME (few months ago). Pip said the album will have a britpop sound and will be issued in Autumn 2011. It seems she changed the release date.

Tickets for the 100 Club show sold out in thirty seconds. I imagine it's quite a small venue and loads of tickets will be given to journalists and the like but still. Insane.

She should perform on a bigger venue.

It is a nice logo. I'm not a big fan of Ladyhawke - the only single from her first album that I liked was 'Magic' but I'm interested to hear what she comes up with this time around.
She should change her stage name to Pip Brown. Amazing.
Agreed on the logo. I'm not that bothered about the music though, her debut was disappointing.

Disappointing? Are you serious?

I'd say that other than Magic, Oh My and Paris is Burning, it was a little bit underwhelming (especially after all the hype) BUT it's still a very pleasant listen. Change of direction sounds interesting..

What was there to offer other than the singles? Not much. It was alright but completely underwhelming after all the hype. I saw her live a few times too - all awful.

You basically said it all for me.

I liked some of the debut album..... but her finest moment remains her guest spot on the jaw-droppingly fabulous 'Embrace' by PNAU (who I actually prefer to their alter-egos Empire of the Sun).
Oh indeed, Embrace is head and shoulders above her other material. Although I do still like Magic, My Delirium and Paris S'enflamme... and that's about it really.

I'd go as far as to say Embrace is one of my favourite ever pop songs - it's just... perfect. As is the new PNAU album (which hasn't been mentioned here yet - shame - it's superb)..... and as was their last album which included Embrace.

I thought the first PNAU album (not including 'Embrace') was a bit hollow to be honest. Maybe I need to revisit it.

Ladyhawke's first album was okay - 'Back of the Van' was certainly my favourite.

Ditto. I think both Ryan and I rushed to buy it after we heard Embrace and I haven't noticed him ever say a good word about it - and I know I haven't as it was all about that one song really with the rest being standard filler style tracks for me.

I'd say revisit it for sure.... the one with Embrace on is their second album..... the first's really hard to get these days and sells for silly money.

'Lover' is fantastic.... in fact, there's only about 2 duffs on the whole album.... sounds amazing in the car, I find :D
