I liked Checkmate at first listen :D

'Teleport My Heart' by The Spyro is pretty awesome, although one thinks it'll not get past this stage.

This better win. It's quite indie-dance.

Well CDON have possibly accidentally leaked the list of finalists by publishing the CD tracklisting, and none of the fan favourites have made it through :( . N-S will be pleased though as Noitanainen made the cut. It's also my favourite of the 12 finalists.

Meh. Finland has done nothing but disappoint me for the last few years tbh. The Spyro's song is good though.

So The Spyro didn't make it then. A real shame.

The Sypro is in a Wildcard round alongside Martina's Checkmate and Jessica Wolff's Better which were both posted in the original post. Sadly only one of the three will go through to the final :(

 

Such a shame for DCX though!

Have the radio versions of the final 12 leaked yet? Apparently they were all aired for the first time yesterday and the compilation CD is out today.

 

I've not even listened to a single one of these songs yet :o

They are all demo versions, the new radio/CD versions were premiered for the first time yesterday, I'd rather wait and listen to those than the demo versions! Surely some ESC fanatic has got the CD by now :o

Well I found the 12 songs and listened to them, really disappointed to be honest, at least compared to the finals of their Scandinavian contemporaries this year. Pernilla Karlsson - När jag blundar and Mica Ikonen - Antaa mennä are the only songs I can say that I really like - the former is gorgeous, the latter is VERY reminiscent of Strong by Robbie Williams, production and melody wise! Iconcrash - We Are The Night and Kaisa Vala - Habits Of Human Beings were alright on first listen too I suppose...

edit: I'm not actually sure. They all are way too similar to the demos to be final versions.

Hope she wins today. I can't get the song out of my head FOR WEEKS now.

So the final's tonight and I haven't ever been less excited about Finnish contest.

 

The other performances of the night are good though, Anna Abreu, Robin and The Rasmus who premiere their new song.
