So...the album opened at #1 in Sweden. How? :o They've never even had a hit single there yet!

Rihanna spends a second week at her peak of #31 meanwhile, will never understand their charts

I was watching their documentary and was pretty surprised at their European fanbase

Power of twitter ?

Album did well in Australia too, better chart positions elsewhere than they got in England! There must be a worldwide gap in the market for a boyband.

I love the album, but can't tell for the life of me who sings what! I can identify Harry's voice in some of the songs, but that's about it - must be showing my age!
I was wondering in the bit of Up All Night, 'I'm onl thinking bout this girl im seeeeing' was that Zain?

The more 'happy-go-lucky' (meaning cheesy) pop groups seem to be massive in Australia! Steps for example often charted higher there than here. It doesn't seem too strange to me, I just can't imagine Australian people listening to someone like Adele, it's too slow and moody!

(Loving Adele btw, and 1D XD)

I can, I find it quite easy. :P

Well I read the other day he has left the flat they were all sharing to get his own place, as he is over living with the band.

I heard he was living with Louis though, and they were looking for a new place? All the fan accounts on Facebook really help. :P

Yeah you're right Martyn, just seen it for myself, he has moved out on his own not with Louis or anyone else. I can see Harry following the Robbie Williams influence in the next year or so (just without the solo success) especially if they do break America and he thinks he is better than the band as so often happens. They'll be replaced next year anyways by a new boyband rolling off of the X Factor production line

Back up to #11 on iTunes, Nickelodeon every Saturday through March & the Kids Choice Awards on March 31st with even more promo announced. :D

One Direction will perform on an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live, it has been announced.

The X Factor UK boyband will be the musical guest on April 7. Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara will host the show.

Album out Tuesday.

So excited for the performance on the Today Show tomorrow :D

Also the iCarly episode is airing April 13th I think.

What do you think the next single will be from the album? I'd love for it to be Taken, but I can't see them releasing that. They'll probably go with something uptempo like 'Up All Night'.
Album is number 1 and deluxe is number 2 in the US Itunes. Projections say it will sell 160k this week and debut at number 1. Fair play to them. Just wonder if this success has come too early for them and that it could lead to them getting above their stations and taking their eyes of the ball. Time will tell i guess

The U.K. pop group One Direction is aiming for a No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 album chart next week with its first album, "Up All Night." However, Adele's "21" may block the quintet from the top with a return to No. 1.

Presently, industry sources suggest "Up All Night" may sell around 160,000 to 170,000 copies by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, March 18. However, Adele's "21" could sell right around the same amount.

How the albums perform over the weekend will play a large part in their placing on the chart next week. Even if One Direction settles for a No. 2 bow, it will make history as the highest debut from U.K. group's first album.

Going to be very close between 1D & ADELE by the looks of it
