Everything just returned back to normal.

What is the secret to a Top 5 place? I know I shouldn't grumble but it seems so elusive.

I've no idea really. I never expected I L U to even be in the top 10, let alone finish 2nd. Islands finished 22nd for me but that's my second favourite entry, whilst Grouplove is probably my least favourite of all my entries, and that finished 2nd! :lol:

I never knew I'd finish 1st with Lia Ices, it's probably the least favourite entry of mine. :lol:

Quite the opposite for me. 5/7 entries with female vocals all managaed Top 15 whereas 2 male entries were Top 10 and my worst result.

 

Gender really don't matter in this thing as opposed to BJSC where 90% of everything with a vagina does well.

Has anyone thought about doing an end of year competition to round up the four rounds we've had this year and bridge the gap until VIII? It could be pretty interesting to see what we all think was the best "unknown" song of 2011. I know my opinons have changed on numerous songs and others have mentioned the same.

I'd really like that! It would give me a chance to vote for songs from previous rounds that I'm sad I missed

Yeah that sounds good, would certainly be up for that!

Out Of Tune is still absolutely phenomenal. Have to get that album. So many great reviews everywhere.
