Posted November 14, 201113 yr Just realised that "Make You Feel My Love" has spent 55 weeks in top 75.. I was wondering if there's a list of singles that have managed to get 52 weeks in top 75? Would love to know how many singles have achieved that feat. Thanks for help in advance!
November 14, 201113 yr The tracks that I always think of when people mention long chart runs are: 05/04/1969 Frank Sinatra My Way (pk #5) with 122 weeks inside the then UK top 50 <--- (yes, top 50. Not top 75!!! :o ) 26/11/1983 Frankie Goes To Hollywood Relax (pk #1) with 52 weeks in the UK top 75. These are both pre-download singles that sold purely on physical copies for such a long period of time. I don't know if there's ever been a single that's spent more weeks in the top 75. In the download era the obvious one is: 29/07/2006 Snow Patrol Chasing Cars (pk #6) with 105 weeks in the top 75 so far.
November 14, 201113 yr consecutive? I'm not sure if any single that's been in the chart for more than 52 weeks has a consecutive chart run without ever leaving the top 75. 20/06/2009 The Black Eyed Peas I Gotta Feeling has 76 weeks inside the top 75 but again, not consecutive. Polyhex has just died but I suspect Lady GaGa might also have a few singles with 52+ weeks on chart.
November 14, 201113 yr Author I don't think many has achieved that besides My Way. I think even Relax didn't achieved consecutive 52 weeks. Edited November 14, 201113 yr by SKOB
November 14, 201113 yr From what I recall, 'I Gotta Feeling' spent 63 consecutive weeks in the Top 75. :D
November 14, 201113 yr 24/01/2009 Lady GaGa Poker Face Judging from its chart run given on Polyhex, this definitely had over 52 weeks inside the top 75 consecutively. Thought 'Bad Romance' might've too but apparantly it's only had 47 weeks inside the top 75 so just falls short.
November 14, 201113 yr The ones with most consecutive weeks in the T75 from the last 5 years would probably be the most useful.
November 14, 201113 yr The ones with most consecutive weeks in the T75 from the last 5 years would probably be the most useful. I can only do overall totals, I'm afraid.
November 14, 201113 yr Nickelback - Rockstar It was in the top 40 for nearly a year! It almost spent a year in the Top 75 as well!

November 14, 201113 yr Such a hard one this as the number of positions on the official singles chart has varied so much at different times. November 14, 201113 yr I'm not sure if any single that's been in the chart for more than 52 weeks has a consecutive chart run without ever leaving the top 75. Back in 1967/8 Engelbert Humperdinck - Release Me spent 56 consecutive weeks in the then Top 50 In 1961/2 Acker Bilk - Stranger On The Shore spent 55 consecutive weeks in the Top 50 having peaked at #2 I know it's not British chart but would you believe Leona Lewis - Run has so far spent 87 consecutive weeks in the German Top 100 and it's still at #64 Edited November 14, 201113 yr by euro music
