Is RiRi becoming the scourge of the boybands? If she overtakes OD by Sunday, they'll be the 3rd in a row she's seen off!

They hold back their release too long therefore once the initial fan base buys the single they fall away!

Their popularity is on the wane but far less quickly than other bands - even if "Fallen Empires" does make #1 it'll be on lower sales than "A Hundred Million Suns" which shifted 100k first week but stalled behind P!nk. Their "Up To Now" best of set two years ago has really helped them IMO.

it has helped radio 1 have continued to play them, but word on the street sayss this album is great with a fair few quality singles....their first 2 releases arent anything decent but are still quality songs which people love!

Thanks for the response?

That's because we only have a top 40 update

Drake up from 15 to 4 in the Albums. What happened there ?

I'd love for this to stay in the Top 5 now, but pretty sure Thank Me Later ended up falling quite a bit by the end of the week

There must've been some data missing or something. I'm really pleased. I mean, I was pleased with #15, so #4 is like wow! I agree though, it'll probably fall by the end of the week.

It's been weird how so many rap albums have done really well this year, even though the singles from before the album did terribly. That happens all the time with other genres, but I think it's strange that it's happened to so many hip hop albums, especially when that genre usually does better in the singles chart.

This doesn't make sense to me, at least people outside their "initial fan base" have had the chance to hear the record and decide whether to buy it or not. I can't see how an On Air/On Sale policy would have enabled any of the records in question to have a better first week peak, i.e. to make Number One.

Jeepers, The Sats are gonna be lucky to not get dropped after this performance :(

We have a new #1 :cheer:

...on the albums
