My Heart Takes Over was at #40 by this time of Saturday...so we should be VERY happy with this even if it doesn't make a stellar performance on the charts.

They are now #10!!!!!!!! Here's hoping a great top 10 effect.:D

Please don't drop.

LivePopBars are not as accurate anymore. iTunes changed their system so now it rounds up/down to the nearest 5%.

Front loaded artists tend to do better in the Uk rather than Ireland (The Wanted, One Direction, The Saturdays, Jls, Pixie Lott)

That wasn't what I was getting at. iTunes operates the same in every country. It's the consumers buying habbits that make it 'different'.

Gap between 30 Days and 212 reduced to 3%. Hopefully The Sats can climb to #8 soon before they're displaced.

The Saturdays 6th Top 10 Irish Hit looking likely then :D

Uk

63. The Saturdays - 30 Days (It should open in the top 5 tbh, especially if it managed to go top 4 in Ireland) (Oliver Twist is at #68)

UPDATE

UK

EP - #49

(#buy30days is trending in the UK)

IRELAND

Single - #10

EP - #27

It'll fall overnight in Ireland me thinks, so another top 20 hit in Ireland I'd say - still nothing terrible. :)

It's really quite sad that I'm nervous about this release haha, but I guess it's natural for your favourite artist.

EP is currently #48 on UK iTunes, D'Banj's (probably the main competition being released this week) EP is at #71 on pre-orders.

The Saturdays didin't send their weekly mailer out today and are not on BGMT tonight as they previously claimed. Can The Saturdays not even get their promotion dates correct?

They handed everyone the wrong date for Lemondaid also.

The only way the 'Top 10 Effect' will work is if a large number of consumers actually think the product is worth buying. If they think it's shit compared to the rest of the Top 10, the likelyness of them purchasing is it pretty slim.

Best example I can think of, those numerous Christmas #1 campaigns to block XFactor. They weren't in the Top 10 because they had a Top 10 Effect, nor did they sell a large amount in the end because it was Top 10.

I think the mailer will just come out tomorrow - it makes more sense considering that's when the single is out, I think. And yeah, I was confused by the BGMT thing.

They've done the same thing with the magority of their single releases. Instead of the mailer on a Saturday, they release a bumber edition or a 'release special' on a Sunday to co-inside with the release of the single instead, which makes more sense.

Gahh, I've accidently edited Lee's post instead of posting a new one  . Sorry Lee!

Edit: Corrected!

im confused about something, a pre-order, does that actually count as a sale?

Yes. It's just a way of the label guarenteeing a sale before it's actually available.
