24 - Bruno Mars "It Will Rain"

UK - 16-17-15 (3 weeks)

This is the lowest of 5 Bruno Mars songs, all of these songs are solo ones - because songs where he is featured such as Billionaire and Lighters are actually good. 'It Will Rain' hasn't been out for long which is why it is much lower than his other songs but it still is very dull and boring. I just don't like his voice and style and can't listen to a whole four minutes of him. Expect 'Runaway Baby' soon on the chart, and 'Marry You', 'Grenade' and 'The Lazy Song' (in no particular order) much higher up the chart.

23 - David Guetta feat. Flo Rida & Nicki Minaj "Where Them Girls At"

UK - 3-3-7-11-16-26-23-26-26-17-18-15-19-19-21-24-36-22-44-53-53-57-66-83-84-96-OUT (26 weeks)

The second of two David Guetta songs, and his first official single of album Nothing But The Beat. I was very excited for new David Guetta material, but not so excited that this sampled one of his older songs "Sexy Chick". The best song of this era, sadly was "Titanium" which was only a promo single. I'm not the only one, because this song is just poor, the Nicki rap got annoying fast and it's Flo Rida's worst big hit by far.

22 - Tinchy Stryder & Dappy "Spaceship"

UK - 5-13-19-27-34-46-60-73-83-OUT (9 weeks)

Tinchy Stryder has passed his time now, ever since 2010 he's been making poor rap songs (if you exclude "Game Over" which was great thanks to the help of 6 others) but this still somehow went top 5. The chorus is so annoying too, the "oh oh ooooh oh oh..." and Dappy's singing. Dappy went on to release "No Regrets" which I liked, but Tinchy Stryder's poor follow up flopped at #24 in the charts for a reason.

21 - Westlife "Lighthouse"

UK - 32-89-OUT (2 weeks)

Westlife have finally retired from making music! It's taken a long time though, but could they have made a good song as their last one? No, of course they didn't, instead they created this blandfest which flopped in at #32, the only Westlife single to miss T10, and one of three Westlife singles not to make top 5. (Us Against The World #8 and Safe #10 being the other 2)

20 - The Calling "Wherever You Will Go"

UK (2002) - 3-6-8-12-16-17-20-27-36-49-71-OUT (11 weeks)

UK (2011) - 92-44-51-x-57-25-16-29-28-33-51-70-98-OUT (12 weeks)

OK, this song of course didn't come from 2011 but thanks to Charlene Soraia and iTunes (for lowering the price of this song) The Calling re-entered the T20. The thing I hate about this song is his VOICE and the way he sings it, plus I would take a piano ballad over a guitar one on almost any song (surprisingly I love "Iris", more on that when it features in my T100)

19 - Bruno Mars "Runaway Baby"

UK - 19-29-47-57-OUT

As you may know Bruno is one of my worst favourite singers of the year, this is the 2nd of his FIVE entries. This was his latest single for a short time until we got "It Will Rain" and he decided to perform this on The X Factor, where I was first introduced to this song. And, yes he can sing, but the song was TERRIBLE. It sounds like it came from the 60s and these modern day Motown songs can either work well (Forget You) or be crap like this

18 - Sean Kingston "Party All Night (Sleep All Day)"

UK - 18-10-9-11-22-23-34-56-79-OUT

It was first released at the start of 2011 and it flopped like all his songs, then it got popular in September thanks to The Inbetweeners Movie. Sean Kingston, we've had enough of you. I will admit "Beautiful Girls" was very nice and I loved that, but "Eenie Meenie" was one of the worst songs of last year, and that wasn't all down to Bieber (he's got 3 entries left in this countdown) This song has some terrible lyrics and the song sounds like it should go back to 2009

17 - Parade "Louder"

UK - 10-25-32-50-82-OUT

Why are The Saturdays the only girl band of 2011? Maybe it's because all their "competition" are really $h!te, like this girlband. This somehow went T10 but dropped like a brick afterwards, and for a good reason. The chorus is so annoying "turn it up LOUDER LOUDER LOUDER LOUDER LOUUUUDEEERRRRRRR" and "turn it up boy boy turn it up boy" make the song so unlikeable. The production again isn't up to date and their follow up single "Perfume" killed it for them and they haven't released an album.

16 - Blue "I Can"

UK - 16-26-22-80-OUT

I never liked Blue back in the day ("One Love" and "All Rise" were good songs for a boyband however) but of course they were never going to give the UK a Eurovision Song Contest win with this song! Without the hype from ESC this song would've missed the T200 completely. A lot of people on this forum love Eurovision but it doesn't live up to the hype for me. Why did "Running Scared" win? That song is also terrible

15 - Glee

There are so many songs they've done this year  so I've just put them all under one chart position. But some of the worst things they've done are a) the all boys choir murdering "Teenage Dream" b) the mash-ups (especially Singing In The Rain/Umbrella as that had 2 weeks T40) c) getting Bruno Mars' "Marry You" popular before UK release d) insulting MJ with their Thriller mash-up e) covering Justin Bieber (Baby) f) making ORIGINAL songs (Loser Like Me, Get It Right) g) killing Adele's Rolling In The Deep by doing ACAPELLA h) making a version of "Friday" that charted HIGHER than the original in the UK. The only good thing I can say about them is they did help "Jar Of Hearts" do well in the UK, that song (original, obviously) will be high on my Year End Top 100

14 - T-Pain feat. Chris Brown "Best Love Song"

UK - 40-69-OUT

He's had some good songs like "Low" (with Flo Rida), "Good Life" (with Kanye West), "Buy U A Drank" and more recently "5 O'Clock" (with Lily Allen/Wiz Khalifa) but this was terrible from first listen. Anything with Chris Brown in is guaranteed to not be very good but there is so much auto tune in this and the lyrics "this is gonna be the best looove song she ever heard in her liiifee" aren't good at all. T-Pain really has upped his game with "5 O'Clock" but this will remain terrible.

Yes they did... It was a huge iTunes smash, it got to number 93 on the albums download chart.

Really  I guess the fact I didn't know they had an album must mean they're a massive flop. It's a good thing we've got Little Mix, we really needed a new, fresh girl group. The Saturdays were good but never had a big hit single with me (All Fired Up and Notorious both missed T20 but spent 10+ weeks on the chart)

13 - Justin Bieber "Mistletoe"

UK - 21-72-68-89-x-23 (5 weeks)

Justin Bieber :puke: Who's decision was it to release this song in October  anyway, it's sadly re entered the chart thanks to Christmas. Like all his songs, this is terrible - why does he have to say shawty in EVERY song, that chorus is a real reason to hate this and why Mistletoe will not go down as a Christmas classic in this country

12 - Enrique Iglesias feat. Usher & Lil Wayne "Dirty Dancer"

UK - 60-28-34-32-21-36-53-OUT (7 weeks)

This is generic club banger taken to the EXTREME. It's so generic it's a load of £h!te, I'm glad songs like these are starting to not be made anymore. Enrique was never good to start with (Hero is a TERRIBLE song) but he got worse and worse and he doesn't suit the club banger trend. His only good song was "Do You Know (The Ping Pong Song)" which was a pop song that didn't try to be over-generic. Thankfully his new song with Pitbull "I Like How It Feels" was a massive flop everywhere, very uninspired title and it's the 2nd song of his to feature Pitbull (I like him but his feature on ILHIF is a desperate attempt to recreate the success of I Like It)

11 - JLS "Take A Chance On Me"

It missed #1 for a very good reason here. It's because it was another uninspired ballad from them. Boybland does not sell as much as it used to, we'll see another example of this in the top 10. This was better than last years "Love You More" but still doesn't connect with me

10 - One Direction "What Makes You Beautiful"

UK - 1-3-5-4-10-12-18-23-27-25-20-24-35 (13 weeks)

Starting off the T10 is One Direction's first entry. I never liked them on The X Factor, they couldn't sing and had lots of backing vocals to drown their voices out - but Simon Cowell couldn't see past the £££ and they got an instant #1 with this single. They won't be around for long however, girl groups are the way forward with Little Mix winning the X Factor. WMYB had lots of airplay on every major radio station which made it completely unavoidable for months. Having said that I prefer this to their follow up single - more on that later.

09 - Justin Bieber feat. Jaden Smith "Never Say Never"

UK - 95-x-49-34-38-38-46-62-73-79-94-OUT (10 weeks)

Justin Bieber's second entry, and his highest as a leading artist. Originally released in late 2010 when it flopped, months later it got used on The Karate Kid which starred Jaden Smith (who's rap on this song is terrible), yes belonging to the same family of Willow and Will. Bieber sounds like a girl on this song (like most songs, except Mistletoe sounds like his voice is finally starting to drop) and the lyrics are terrible. "I will never say never", you just said never twice already :P
