June 8, 201213 yr Good game to open it, ref is shocking but it's not surprising, 17 red cards in his last 25 games. If I'd realised that I'd have definitely stuck a lump on it! Ridiculous sending off, don't think either of those fouls were yellow cards. Poland are playing well and apparently we're after their goalscorer. Dortmund will want a fortune for him. Highly doubt United can afford him if they're going to be buying a midfielder, especially if he gets another one or two here.
June 8, 201213 yr Off work for a week to watch the 5pm games  Gutted Ninis went off at ht for Greece, quality little player, one of the players i've been most looking forward to watching in the tournament! Hope he starts again next game. After his replacement scored, won the penalty and had a goal disallowed, I'd imagine he'll come in for him, he was expected to start ahead of Ninis anyway.
June 8, 201213 yr Yeah Salpingidis is good aswell, remember him from the World Cup, Should both start over Samaras  Although Samaras looked good today actually!
June 8, 201213 yr This group seems to be wide open if Russia and the Czechs draw, never expected Greece to hit the net.
June 8, 201213 yr This group seems to be wide open if Russia and the Czechs draw, never expected Greece to hit the net. Both Czech Republic and Russia are better than Greece and Poland. Poland have some good players, but they played Greece off the park in places. Fact is they don't have enough players with football brains who would have made better choices.
June 8, 201213 yr Why is Arshavin only good for Russia? Or against Liverpool? The mind boggles. This can't be the same player that was so terrible for Arsenal for 18-24 months!
June 8, 201213 yr Arshavin has bene FANTASTIC! Seems like a new/different player tbh. Russia have outplayed Czech easily!
June 8, 201213 yr There was a brilliant second half, its the best match of the tournament so far, the play was flowing most of the time, Russia look pretty strong throughout the game, might get stuffed in later stages of the tournament, at least they started well and could stumble in the next stage if they get through.

Well that's not hard taking into account it's just the second game Martin...
June 8, 201213 yr Imagine how many Russia might've had if Kerzhakov wasn't so hopeless? It was always likely that they'd win that group, but that seems certain now. Greece vs Czech Republic next is a huge game.

Greece vs Czech Republic next is a huge game. My mate stuck £20 on Russia to win and Kerzhakov scoring, It's fair he despises Kerzhakov. I can imagine Greece vs Czech being a awful and boring game tbh. Can't wait until Poland vs Russia after that.
June 8, 201213 yr Gulf in class is immense between the two games. Czech Republic defence was hopeless, and Baros leading the line just tells you the woes of the Czech attack. Russia are good, but everyones going to hype them up now. They're a good side, but so wasteful, and if Arshavin doesn't feel like playing they're not as good. He turned up to play today and made Russia click. Russia and Czech Repubic will qualify.
June 8, 201213 yr A few changes (Paddy Power) To win: Spain 11/4 Germany 10/3 Holland 6/1 France 8/1 England 14/1 Russia 14/1 Italy 17/1 Portugal 20/1 Croatia 50/1 Ukraine 50/1 Poland 50/1 Sweden 66/1 Ireland 80/1 Denmark 80/1 Greece 100/1 Czech Republic 150/1 Top Goalscorer Robin Van Persie 9/1 Mario Gomez 9/1 Karim Benzema 10/1 Alan Dzagoev 10/1 Robert Lewandowski 12/1 Cristiano Ronaldo 14/1 Fernando Torres 16/1 Klaas-Jan Huntelaar 18/1 Fernando Llorente 18/1 Roman Pavlyuchenko 18/1

Czech are awful, they barely scraped past Scotland into second in qualifying. Greece have got more about them apart from in goal where all of their keepers are dodgy.

Greece have got more about them apart from in goal where all of their keepers are dodgy. I haven't seen much of Greece but their defending was awful from what I saw. Great big gaping holes, and if Poland had more quality they would have scored more. Czech defence is vulnerable, and their midfield doesn't offer much in the way of protection but their attack is quite good. I thought Czech would win the group, but Russia look like doing a clean sweep as they have the best technically gifted team.
June 9, 201213 yr Frustrating game for Holland, they had a lot of chances and they did most of the leg work, didn't think Denmark played that well, I never predicted Denmark to win this at all, mind you they did pipped Portugal in qualifying. Apart from that it was entertaining to watch with the dutch near misses.
June 9, 201213 yr That performance showed exactly why I can't stand Arjen Robben as a player, so incredibly greedy and wasteful. Really pleased for Denmark, they've been written off as whipping boys of the group yet are ranked in the world's top 10 and qualified ahead of one of the other teams in it.
June 9, 201213 yr Happy for Denmark. Always like to see an underdog win Funny how Agger was being praised and yet he plays like that every week for Liverpool. Underrated and are the pundits ever going to stop talking about Ferdinand ? More than annoying now
