Is it too much to ask for those working at ITV to mention something OTHER than that incident after the match? Had it happened at 0-0 or had Spurs equalised first then fine, but they barely looked like getting a second after Bale scored and were completely outplayed in the last 30 minutes. Yes, it changed the game but it's difficult to argue that it affected the result.

It was a massive turning point, and it is all the mass media will talk about. The scorline flattered Chelsea a little bit. I thought he was stupid taking off Van Der Vaart for Defoe, and had a Twitter rant saying it would cost him, then 30 seconds later Ramires scored! Redknapp's a good manager, but he's f***ing cluess at times. The Chelsea midfield was slightly in control of the game, and he goes and gives them the midfield battle to run the game. When both teams set up 4-5-1 the game is won and lost in midfield.

The Chelsea fans really have not done themselves proud at all, the silence was impeccably observed at Old Trafford earlier today, so well done United / Villa fans.

As for the football, after Mata's "goal" I will be shocked if the media don't now fully pick up on the issue of poor officiating decisions / technology and force the issue with the FA. It is becoming an absolute shambles that a sport as rich as football is not using all the technology available to it. Look at rugby video replays for tries, Hawkeye in tennis, its obvious that it WORKS and would make the referees job so much easier. But as long as the FA / UEFA are happy to charge Wenger £40,000 and hit him with a 3 match ban for questioning the referee after the Milan match, whereas Porto get away with a £20,000 for racist chanting, then I doubt anything truly constructive will ever happen.

The behaviour of those Chelsea fans was far worse than anything said by Alan Davies a few days ago. Thankfully the club have been very quick to issue an apology. Now I hope they will be doing all they can to identify the culprits.

I think there is a good chance that goal-line technology will be introduced fairly soon. The FA seem to be keen to go ahead as soon as FIFA give their approval. Today's "goal" was a particularly bad example as it is difficult to see how the referee could have got it wrong.

Bit gutted, but Chelsea probably deserved it. They were the better side for two thirds of the game but Liverpool let them. I feel sorry for Jay Spearing, but he was way out of his depth today and it showed. After Chelsea got the early goal they were disciplined and played nine men behind the ball at all times. None of our players that started in midfield have any brains about football. Gerrard had to drop deep to accomodate Spearing, and Henderson was bossed by Lampard. Liverpool players didn't have the big game experience to match Chelsea's and it really showed. Andy Carroll was a collosus when he came on. Feel so sorry for him, cos he has abaility and has improved immensly of late, but that price tag will always be stuck with him. We still need two more first team players. Shit end to a shit season, just hope the same recruitement mistakes are not replictaed in the summer.

The debate about the Carroll header will wage on for some time no doubt. I have no idea whether it crossed the line or it didn't, and I've seen compelling evidence for both. Just still a shame that there is no goal line technology.

Thought chelsea were the better team today and deserved to win. Andy carrolls goal was not in. Dissapointed when it was dissallowed how suarez reacted to the linesman. No need for him to start mouthing off like that

You're kidding right? He thought it was in, and it could very well have been in. In an FA Cup final at 2-1 I'd be fuming too.

Totally agree Rooney, I would have been the exact same. However I don't think it was in tbh :( I was also disappointed to see Torres not getting the last 10minutes.

I don't think it totally crossed the whole line, but certain technology shows it does. Like I said it's just another argument for goal line technology. People are saying Carroll should have buried that header anyway. I disagree, I don't know much more that he could have done. It was a world class save, something that our goalkepper has not done for a while now.
