It's not a paying job, the nuclear pharmacy where I'm at presently....I'm hoping it'll lead to a paying job at this place, when I'm done with my internship there.....

Nuclear pahrmacy, sounds very dangerous Biggy, do you have to wear special gear :unsure: ..are you going to be a nuclear scientist :mellow:

 

 

The only special gear I wear are 3 separate radiation dosimeters, one on each index finger, as well as badge.....working in the clean rooms is even better.....hair/beard coverings, lab coat, shoe coverings, surgical mask, sterile gloves....I'm hoping to be a certified nuclear pharmacy technician at some point in time in future, and, I'm looking to become certified in making chemotherapy as well....

Would give me an extra hand for some 'fun', if I did have one.... :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: I wear a dosimeter on my right and left index fingers, as well as one that clips onto my ID badge lanyard....my apologies for causing you confusion, Ossy....

 

 

 

No, Jups, this nuclear pharmacy where I'm an intern, is not at a nuclear power station....but, they do use some radioactive materials, just not Uranium or Plutonium....some of the things used are radioisotopes of Cobalt, Barium, Thallium, Indium....

Have they ever had a radiation leak there Biggy, you need to be well paid for that job I'm thinking :mellow:

There are spots shielded with lead that have had some minor accidental spills, but, still, I'm not getting me hands on anything to where I could possibly contaminate meself.....they won't allow me to get me hands on anything...now, if I'm in a room obeserving one of the other tech nicians, and THEY spill something, then there's a slim chance I may get some unwanted radiation...

Cactus plants should be water in the Summer at least once a month, about a ha;f cup of water
