So rumours flying around about the Woollim artists will be joining SM Town Tours. I know people are going crazy over the merge itself, personally I don't mind it although I think the Woollim artists are getting a much better deal out of this than the SM ones (who I don't think will benefit at all), business wise it's obviously a very smart move though for both labels. Just not really sure on the Woollim artists joining SM concerts, they seem quite different musically whereas the SM acts all compliment each other musically. Just feels like this is going to end badly really. Would prefer SM to stay for SM and then to have a special tour to celebrate the merger.

Liking this new one from Teen Top

Can I just take a second to stay how happy I am that the English version of Trap was on Henry's newest EP! <3

I'm definitely a fan of that Teen Top song. It's quite pleasing now to see that they've had flawless releases for a while and I hope it continues through.

As for Henry's English version of Trap...eh it's nothing special for me. I don't get why SM keeps pushing him solo because it's doing nothing and going nowhere. Henry just isn't the type that works best as a solo artist. :(

They've not really been on my radar much before now, but going to check out their other tracks now and see what I think of them as a whole, but yeah the new one is definitely a good 'ne.

I could list a thousand reasons as to why I think Henry was their pick to go solo, but in short I think he had the least pressure on him out of all the SM artists to be a success (exclusively a sub unit member, non Korean, Only 13 backlash etc) and had the most to gain out of all of them if he did get some success under his belt and if he didn't he probably has the least to lose. Plus, the fact he writes the majority of his stuff makes it much easier for SM (not to mention cheaper). His album has been doing well though and not just in Korea so I'm sure their happy enough. Personally, I'm just finally happy that he's getting the attention he deserves and hope he gets future releases soon too.

The song itself isn't too good but THAT choreography is their BEST for YEARS.
I love the dub step bits but the actual chorus is a little bit, but it has enough points of brilliance for me to like it a lot overall. Agreed on the choreography, although the small jump bit is a little weird.

I'm going to attempt to try and learn the choreography because it's so *.* on all levels.

Also, the new T-ara track is giving me life on so many levels.

I'm not sure if other k-pop artists do this, but I've personally only seen Shinee in the UK top 200 on iTunes. Would love a k-pop artist to enter the top 200 officially in the UK, would be even happier if it was SJ or Shinee. Can't believe how high they are in the US, hopefully they don't fall too quickly.

Girls' Generation has the highest K-Pop iTunes album (+single) release amongst all Korean artists IIRC with the release of "The Boys".
Ah right, that actually doesn't surprise me, do you know where it charted? As far as I'm aware Psy is the only Korean act to chart in the UK official album or single chart, but I wouldn't be surprised if a few of them managed to get into the lower region of the US charts.

Well if we include PSY, then Girls' Generation would be #2 then instead of #1!

Not too sure where GG charted but it was everywhere globally on the iTunes.

I can't find much info apart form they got to about #30 on US iTunes, but didn't manage to officially make the billboard top 100. Can't see anything about the UK so I presume they didn't enter here either. I know for a fact that no Korean artist apart from Psy have done anything on the singles chart and I presume none have done anything on the albums. Hopefully just a matter of time though.

Liking both these atm:

Are there any big comebacks soon? I heard rumours regarding Girls Generation, Big Bang and Exo?

My favorite act is After School, but I seriously feel they are mismanaged and underutilized. Their graduation-admission system is very good if they had more subgroups, and promoted members like E-Young and Kaeun more. I also feel that they should be releasing a second full album soon to establish themselves as a more stable Korean act.

I quite like After School, I don't know if they just go under my radar though but I barely ever hear about them.

2NE1 have another new track out this week, they really have disappointed me this year, none of the three songs have been a patch on any of their previous singles.

Surprised how quiet this thread has been lately with the MAMA's on and things like that.

I am honestly not impressed with any of 2NE1's output this year. It all feels like "just to get something out there" for me. In my eyes, this year's stars are Crayon Pop, Sistar, Nine Muses and Girl's Day. After School's 'comeback' was more about the skill rather than the song, but the maxi-single as a whole is their best output as a group.

I kind of agree about 2NE1 being honest, though I did have a soft spot for 'Do You Love Me' all the same (may just be CL being fabulous in the video) and while it doesn't really count, 'Take The World On' is among their best to my ears.

I was disappointed with most acts this year, but there were some lovely songs all the same. 'Expectation' and 'Number Nine' are definitely keepers.

Wow. We're having a brand, new comeback from T-ara... and the supposed-to-be leader that is Lee Qri is not even in front of the album cover. Underpromotion!

Qri was always underrated in T-ara and the big three was always Eunjung, Jiyeon and Hyomin. The fact she became a leader is already worth mentioning.

I also agree the breakouts this year was Crayon Pop, Nine Muses and Girl's Day but less so of SISTAR and more of 4Minute (who surprised everyone by winning a ton of awards with "What's Your Name". T-ara has always remained consistent for me (Number Nine reinforced that factor) so they didn't dip at all but the likes of Girls' Generation, 2NE1, KARA and Brown Eyed Girls (basically the biggest girl groups of K-Pop) really didn't impress at all.

As for T-ara's repackaged album comeback, I'm looking forward to it. I loved "Cry Cry" and "Day By Day", aka. their slower songs, and if they continued their pattern of flawless mid-tempo ballads then I'd be overwhelmed. ^_^
