December 23, 201114 yr Author 1 Military Wives 450,000 2 Little Mix 88,000 3 Lou Monte 68,000 4 Alex Day 45,000 5 Coldplay 35,000 Can't see the top 5 changing, that looks like the official top 5 come Sunday, obviously with more sales. MWC probably around 600k, Little Mix will crack triple figures probably around 110k, Lou Monte around 100k+, Alex Day around 54k-ish, Coldplay around 47k-ish. December 23, 201114 yr Geez OCC don't seem to be hanging about do they - sales in for Friday update already at 9.30!! Military Wives now on 450,000 So I'd guess maybe 50-55k today, so they'll need almost 100k tomorrow to take them to 600k...
December 23, 201114 yr 1 Military Wives 450,000 2 Little Mix 88,000 3 Lou Monte 68,000 4 Alex Day 45,000 5 Coldplay 35,000 Can't see the top 5 changing, that looks like the official top 5 come Sunday, obviously with more sales. MWC probably around 600k, Little Mix will crack triple figures probably around 102k, Lou Monte around 80k, Alex Day around 56k-ish, Coldplay around 47k-ish. I think Coldplay and Alex Day might swap places. CP gained 3.3k on AD yesterday and need to gain at least 5k a day today and tomorrow. And given that: 1. The Friday-Saturday sales are higher and Coldplay will be definitely selling more than 7k 2. Alex Day's sales growth is going to decrease even more - it's not that hard. I was predicting 50-60k for MWC and I underestimated them a bit (by 2k :P ). Today they'll do about 70k (with late Graham Norton boost) and tomorrow... let's not think about it. I firstly told that they'd end up at 600k but now I'll raise my plank to at least 620k. And yeah, their top-10 place in the year-end chart is inevitable then.
December 23, 201114 yr As Little Mix are selling steadily, I think it's safe to say with Christmas eve tomorrow, they should sell around 120,000 this week. Military Wives could sell about 600,000! When was the last time a song for christmas sold that much? I thought it would sell well, but I never thought this much, X Factor had no chance of being Christmas no.1 then.

The last set Of Xmas No 1 to sell more than the CURRENT MW total were: 2009- Rage Against The Machine 502k 2008- Alexandra Burke- 576k 2006- Leona Lewis- 571k 2005- Shayne Ward- 742k

Yes especially as Little Mix are nowhere near selling in 2 weeks what most XF winners sell in one.

I've just tweaked my sales range a bit, noticed Alex Day has decreased, and Lou Monte amassed 35k in a day, could crack over 100k but I'm not sure if the novelty is going to wear off, I just took a gamble with Coldplay probably can hit between 47 to 53k, so yeah basically Coldplay have a chance to get #4. When was the last time a song for christmas sold that much? I thought it would sell well, but I never thought this much, X Factor had no chance of being Christmas no.1 then. Based on the first week sales of Little Mix they had no chance of hanging onto No 1. Cannonball will probably be the lowest selling winners single. Fair play to MW the song is not great but pleased they are making money for a good cause. Merry Christmas to all especially to the Mods and those that keep the site up and running.
December 23, 201114 yr Author Regarding Friday mids still no info from Music Week, you just have to wait it out, to be honest they aren't going to be any different from yesterday if they do turn up. For now we have top 5 with sales which is better than a kick in the teeth. And has anyone noticed the albums have been totally ignored this week sales wise, I love to how much Michael Buble is selling surely it has to be in the excess of 250k.

December 23, 201114 yr 205,834 :) Source? That seems a bit low actually, but he's going to have ENORMOUS sales tomorrow so it'll definitely do 300k+.
December 23, 201114 yr 205,834 :) That;s much lower than I thought- thought it would be nearer 250-300k by now
December 23, 201114 yr Alex Day still at #4 - Coldplay should overtake now that they're at #3 and Day's highest version is at #23 - besides the Military Wives Choir and Lou Monte, none of the other campaigns have really been successful - Day is still surviving from the multiple versions that were in the top 100 Sunday/Monday.
