32. INNA Sun Is Up (Peak: 6, Weeks: 16, Points: 522)

ALL THE PEOPLE TONIGHT PUT THEIR HANDS IN THE SKY  The Romanian domination that started in 2010 (well, if you ignore O-Zone) continued apace in 2011, with lads mag favourite Inna (prounced Eena). She provided the one genuinely funny moment in this year's hell of Reggie-Yates-hosted chart shows, when asked if the was Romania's Cheryl Cole she answered "yes", when asked if she knew who that was, she answered "no" With recent flops from Azurro and the possibly-still-to-come Radio Killer, it looks like the Romanian fad is over, but we always have the memories...

31. David GUETTA Feat. USHER Without You (Peak: 5*, Weeks: 14*, Points: 522)

While Titanium is clearly the highlight of Nothing But The Beat, this is a damn fine track that deservedly has become a big UK hit. Usher has always been one of my favourite US R&B singers (from the 8701 era onwards at least) and the combination of his smooth but powerful voice and Guetta's beats made one of the max tracks of the year. Guetta was a big star both on UK and worldwide charts, and this one here too, though the two biggest hits don't show here at all... :)

Hey Tom :D

Just scrolled down your 100-33 so far and noticed...

85. ADELE Someone Like You 1x1 7 311

...which seems really low for a chart topper. Did it only spend 7 weeks in total in your chart?

Does that mean this chart is based on a points system (like my Chart of 2011 will be? :D )

Anyways, I'll post some proper comments once the countdown has been completed.

Oops, sorry, only just saw this. Yep, it did :o And yes it is based on points, which I think I said in my intro? Hey ho. I haven't got the time or energy to do it any other way, still my chart of last year was even more rudimentary as you'll see later  Thanks!

I'm here for the K/J-Pop acts as the other tracks have been loved by the others already :cheer:

Cool, well there is at least one more big one to come :D Thanks!

Once I've posted my final chart of 2011 later today, I will be counting my Chart of 2011 in the New Year. Won't be able to do anything tomorrow as I'm going to be at my brothers most of the day. So possibly Monday. Much excitement!!! :w00t:

Anyways, going through your 31-100 list, here's a list of the tracks that have made my top 10 over the year. Bold tracks are chart toppers for me.

30. RADIO KILLER Lonely Heart (Peak: 6, Weeks: 14, Points: 526)

More of the Romanian invasion in my top 40, and a song that with a little help from his friend :kink: was one of People's Republic Of Jester's best BJSC entries of the year, gutted it didn't qualify for the final, but expect to see at least one more PRoJ entry and Romanian dance smash in here. Shame this track flopped completely in the UK, but what can you do really...

29. Taio CRUZ Feat. Kylie MINOGUE Higher (Peak: 5, Weeks: 15, Points: 531)

This year's best showing in my chart for both queen Kylie and queen Taio (essentially a black Will Young). No wonder he wanted to work with the QoL that is Miss Minogue. She (Kylie) made a splash in my 2010 end of year chart, with All The Lovers reaching #14 and Get Outta My Way #55. Taio not so much however, considering that Little Bad Girl was one of the worst songs of the year, but Kylie never lets you down, and it was a total MOMENT of 2011 when she came on stage with Hurts at their farewell gig in Brixton...

28. FOSTER THE PEOPLE Pumped Up Kicks (Peak: 3, Weeks: 16, Points: 553)

Best new indie band of the year, yes? Yes. The album Torches is a revolution, fitting perfectly in the same indie dance bracket as bands like The Rapture, and these guys are another band that I think have a big 2012 ahead of them. Now I must get around to getting tickets for their Brixton gig next April...

27. TAKE THAT Love Love (Peak: 4, Weeks: 13, Points: 554)

Another moment of 2011 for me was seeing these guys live at Wembley. Although I've never been a super fan of the band, I always liked Robbie and when I heard he was rejoining the band I expected only good things. I certinaly wasn't disappointed, with their most creative and exciting album of their career, an epic stage show (the fact that the robot didn't stand up on the night I went notwithstanding, or that it took me until halfway through the show to find seats) and a new attitude. Gary turned out to be a bit of a damb squibb of an X Factor judge (if a hot one), and Robbie proceeded to leave them again. What 2012 will bring for them I don't know, but I can say that their success and reputation is (finally) fully deserved.

26. Sak NOEL Loca People (Peak: 2, Weeks: 15, Points: 559)

WHAT DE FACK. If you had told me this time last year one of the biggest UK and European hits of 2011 would be a house track by a Spanish DJ with some bitch shouting the F word over it I would have probably had you sectioned. But so it was, and although the song took a while to grow on me at first, it duly became one of my hits of the summer. He's now released a second single called Paso, but it's a straight rehash of LP and as such has made no impact on my charts. I don't see him coming back anytime soon, still ¡enhorabuena Sr. Noel!

25. SHAKIRA Rabiosa (Peak: 5, Weeks: 14, Points: 560)

Speaking of summer smashes, this latin lady pretty much defines the notion, no matter wat time of year it is. Yes, so the definition of smash has become a bit worn over time nut if a song is a hit in 20+ countries it's still a smash in my book, no matter what the "great" british public say. I mean, seriously, they put Dizzee fucking Rascal on Loca and they were still too scared to promote a song with a title in Spanish :manson: Anyhoo, rant over, this is a top song, it's just a pity the rumoured duet with J-Lo never happened...

24. BLUE I Can (Peak: 2x1, Weeks: 11, Points: 568)

Sorry boys, but no, you can't. Well actually I might let you if you're good Duncan. Erm, where was I? Ah yes, back in February of last year Blue were chosen as the representatives of the UK in Eurovision 2011 and reactions ranged between mellowface and cautiously optimistic, and I was very much one of the latter. When the song was revealed I only got more enthusiastic, it seemed current and commercial and didn't fall into the trap of being a "Eurovision song". However it all depended on how it came across on the big night, and in the end not very well. The vocals were OK and Lee somehow didn't f*** it up, I guess the problem was the stage show, the lightboxes dwarfed the guys and it ended up looking a bit of an ego-trip. Still given the phenomenal unexpected success of the Steps comeback who knows what 2012 will hold for them, or for the UK in Eurovision (Hurts pl0x).

23. SEPTEMBER Me And My Microphone (Microfonkåt) (Peak: 8,Weeks: 20**, Points: 575)

September is for life, not just for Christmas! This song has been in and out of the charts more this year than Justin Bieber has been in and out of court on child support charges. Thanks to the reality show Så mycket bättre Miss Petra Marklund had the biggest year of her career in her native Sweden. This song had a much delayed and rather abortive release earlier in the month in the UK, and it didn't exactly relive her Cry For You glory days, but nevertheless this is a top tune that should have done much better (and probably would of if it wasn't on AATW). And for the record I like the English version much better than the Swedish :)

22. LADY GAGA Judas (Peak: 2x1, Weeks: 12, Points: 611)

JUDA RA-MA-MA WANT YOUR BAD JUDAS. Bad was the operative word here. If I wasn't such a Gaga loon there is virtually no chance that this song would have come top 5 let alone spend two weeks at #1. Actually the fact that I'm a Hurts loon comes into it too as their excellent remix gave it a couple more weeks action. But apart from the epic video (probably her best this era, though Marry The Night gives it a run for it's money) this rehash of Bad Romance was a piss poor single choice in all honesty...

21. GIRLS' GENERATION The Boys (Peak: 2*, Weeks: 11*, Points: 612)

Who are 소녀시대, 少女時代, Sonyeo Shidae and SNSD? They are all the same thing IE the world's best girl group. 2011 is the year when GG, 2NE1, Wonder Girls and all the top acts of Korean pop music (K-pop) have been readying themselves for the international takeover of 2012. These girls are cute, talented and have so many incredibly catchy songs. When I first heard this, I was a little disappointed, but it's one hell of a grower, and all the remixes and different language versions have surfaced mean that it still remains in my top 5 and 2012 for sure belongs to Taeyeon, Jessica, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona and Seohyun. 20. Olly MURS Dance With Me Tonight (Peak: 1x1, Weeks: 12*, Points: 613)

Well hello there Mr. Murs  While it would be pushing it to call Olly universally popular on Buzzjack or, well, anywhere (three UK #1s notwithstanding ), he still has that mix of talent, cheekiness and frankly balls that makes Robbie Williams a star IMHO. You have to love the X Factor performance above. In my mind it's now the official video  Anyway this is a great retro song that could have been Marcus' (of the aforementioned show) debut single and is still in my top 10...

Carrying on the theme of UK #1s, Rihanna's comeback (can youc all it that if an artist is away for roughly two weeks?) was a roof-raising dance anthem with Scottish super producer Calvin Harris. People say that Gaga needs a break, but Rihanna's hit rate is leading me to suspect that she's a robot. Not with me that said but she's fairly consistent. As for Calvin he's had a couple of hits himself this year, though tbh I have no idea why Feel So Close underperformed, love that song, though Bounce was bolstered by seeing Kelis live at the Lovebox festival

18. Martin SOLVEIG Feat. DRAGONETTE Hello (Peak: 2x1, Weeks: 25**, Points: 627)

Hello Hello! It's good be back with Solveig, and to finally welcome Dragonette to the UK and (I think) Tom Kay charts, though I might have charted Fixin' To Thrill at some point last year. Sadly it looks like they will be one hit wonders for the forseeable feature (unless Martin can wangle a credit on the new Madonna single), but Solveig came very close to getting three top 100 hits in my EOY chart (Big In Japan came in at #102) and I look forward to welcoming Dragonette back to my charts soon!

17. Stella MWANGI Haba Haba (Peak: 4, Weeks: 12, Points: 632)

And we're back in Eurovision land. When Africa meets Norway it creates Europop magic. Being brought up on Paul Simon's Graceland I've always enjoyed African music and of course I can't get enough Europop. I was truly gutted to see this fail to enter the finals of ESC this year, although her vocals are far from spot on, it was more fun than a million Jedwards. I hope to see her back in the European charts or Melodi Grand Prix soon!

16. HURTS Sunday (Peak: 2x1, Weeks: 13, Points: 636)

THEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOO! :yahoo: Sorry :heehee: This is my favourite song from my favourite album by my favourite band of the last two years, so when it was chosen as a single I was over the moon. For me this is one of their very best videos and aside from the original Wonderful Life, the one that delivered their concept most clearly. They're on a break for now but I really hope to see them at least one more place this year - in Azerbaijan in May :kink:

15. LADY GAGA Marry The Night (Peak: 2x1, Weeks: 14*, Points: 649)

If one (non-Korean) act dominated my chart this year, it was surely Gaga. Even if Born This Way didn't turn out to be as good as The Fame Monster in the long run, there were enough crazy hats, mental performances and batshit videos to mean that Gagavision never got boring. I wasn't initially that impressed with this as a single choice, but on the release of the excellent video (the first one this era to be decent AND match it's song) it grew and grew. Considering the song is still on my chart and shows no sign of budging, and with her concert tour later in the year, she surely has a big 2012 ahead!

14. RIHANNA S&M (Peak: 4, Weeks: 16, Points: 651)

COME ON! :w00t: I like it, but not a lot  Actually no I did like it rather a lot. Apart from Only Girl this is probably my highlight of the Loud album, which the more I listen to it, the more it knocks Talk That Talk into a cocked hat. Of course, given a song with this title and these lyrics there was an inevitable LoveGame style "controverzzzzzz" where they changed the title to Come On and made whip sounds in the chorus  For once though, I much prefer the uncensored.

Yes, yet more Mother Monster. The only song this year to debut at #1 on my chart, let's just say I was pretty damn hyped about Gaga's return, and I have to say she BASICALLY lived up to it. Sure she's not as original as she seemed in 2008, but she can still be relied for some great pop songs, even if her videos have gone from bad to worse to slightly better. And for the record I STILL don't hear Express Yourself in this, someone want to explain it to me?

12. Olly MURS Feat. RIZZLE KICKS Heart Skips A Beat (Peak: 1x1, Weeks: 15, Peak: 660)

Second album campaigns for ex-X Factor singers don't usually go according to plan, but there's always an exception to the rules, and Olly is that exception. When I heard Olly was coming back with a reggae-influenced track featuring an up and coming UK urban duo, I feared the worst. I had nothing to worry about. The track was a perfect summer jam, and the catchy, clever rap made me want to listen to more Rizzle Kicks. Olly's superb second album has out-performed the first, and it looks like he will be around for many years to come...

Adele, Adele, Adele. What can you say about her? The world's biggest artist in 2011 is a big beautiful British woman with a brilliant voice. As previously noted her biggest UK hit of the year (and in fact THE biggest hit of the year) is way down at #85 on my chart, Someone Like You somehow got boring very quickly for me. But this was one that clicked with me in a big way. and is still resonating around the world, just check out this clip from a reality show searching for a new K-pop artist.

So will this be her last showing in my top 100 this year? Maybe nor! Keep your eyes peeled...
