Posted December 30, 201113 yr So the transfer window opens on Sunday. What deals are you hoping your club will do? The window is yet to open and Henry is already set to agree a 2 month loan deal with Arsenal and Cahill is off to Chelsea for £7m
December 30, 201113 yr I'm glad Cahill isn't going for a hefty fee. The amount of stick Wenger got for only bidding about £7m in the summer was ridiculous, to a buyer he's not worth more than that given his situation. Given Forest have absolutely f*** all money and we've already managed to sign two players, it shows how utterly dreadful our old regime was really, who took about 6 months to make a transfer happen.
December 30, 201113 yr Liverpool sign a striker and an attacking/defensive midfielder. It's nailed on.
December 30, 201113 yr Author The Mirror reporting that Liverpool want to hijack Cahill's move to Chelsea Pointless really. He wouldn't be first choice and it'd give Coates/Wilson even less game time
December 30, 201113 yr The Mirror reporting that Liverpool want to hijack Cahill's move to Chelsea Pointless really. He wouldn't be first choice and it'd give Coates/Wilson even less game time Think it's his agent. He wants 100k a week at Chelsea (which they are rightly refusing). Looks like a planted story.
January 4, 201213 yr can't wait to c henry again for arsenal also hope we sign podolski nd possibly baines as we need a full back Edited January 4, 201213 yr by ramseydawson
January 4, 201213 yr West Ham looking at signing Vedran (?) Corluka on loan from Spurs, good move that.
January 4, 201213 yr Is that actually realistic?! If it is then bloody hell, he's far better than that level surely! :o
January 4, 201213 yr Is that actually realistic?! If it is then bloody hell, he's far better than that level surely! :o I don't like consulting the day of the week in the Daily Mail let alone anything else but it sounds plausible enough: Tottenham are poised to off-load full-back Vedran Corluka to West Ham for the remainder of the season. The Croatia international has dropped down the pecking order behind Kyle Walker who made the right-back position his own this season. Corluka has started just one Barclays Premier League game for Spurs this season and is worried his lack of game time will affect his chances of playing at the European Championships. The Hammers - who currently occupy second place in the Championship - are pushing hard for promotion have had to beat off stiff competition from Serie A outfit Roma. And chairman David Sullivan has admitted they have already made three bids for players, but may be thwarted as clubs are unwilling to let players go half way through the season. He said: 'It's not easy to acquire key players clubs don't want to lose.' Also reported in The Sun, not the best sources I know :P
January 4, 201213 yr I'm going down to the Championship here, but there are strong rumours that Forest's Lewis McGugan maybe joining ex-team mate Nathan Tyson at Derby? :) I think that'd be a good signing for us - but I can't see it happening to be honest! :D
January 4, 201213 yr Darren Bent's told everyone if Liverpool make a bid for him he's off. Seems likely.

Unlike other players who've moved in recent years he is actually a fan of Forest and is an academy product, a player of his quality will be attracting far better and bigger teams than Derby, and Derby don't exactly have much more money than we do! He's going because we need cash and he's one of our three most saleable assets, Derby won't be able to afford him.
January 6, 201213 yr Author Darren Bent's told everyone if Liverpool make a bid for him he's off. Seems likely. I hope not He'd cost £20m+ at least Would the club really make the same mistake again of signing an overpriced one dimensional English player ? Carroll and then Downing He'll score goals, but it's easy to say "Oh we aren't taking our chances. Sign Bent. He'll score". We need an all rounded player, who is able to form a partnership with Suarez. Fans moan that the way we play changes when Carroll plays and that won't be any different with Bent
January 6, 201213 yr Players like Bent and Carroll are excellent and well worth £20m+ if the team they're in develop their game to suit them, players like that need to be the focal point of the team otherwise they're nowhere near as effective.

Fans moan that the way we play changes when Carroll plays and that won't be any different with Bent Bent's probably more suited to the way Liverpool want to play than Carroll. Carroll's hold-up play is dreadful. I imagine he'll be somewhere along the £20m value. Yes it's expensive, but in the long term it won't. He won't want as big as wages as strikers coming in from a foreign league. It might cost more to get British players, but their wages are not as much as their foreign counterparts.
January 8, 201213 yr Manchester United have finally signed a midfielder to replace Paul Scholes, coaxing Paul Scholes out of retirement!
January 8, 201213 yr Manchester United have finally signed a midfielder to replace Paul Scholes, coaxing Paul Scholes out of retirement! Well it's a really good move. Bit surprised he's decided to play again if I'm honest. Fergie must have begged to him. Man Utd fans are deluded if they think they will spend a penny over January. Getting Scholes out of retirement really is edge of the ice stuff.
January 12, 201213 yr Chris Samba has said he wants to quit Blackburn. Hoillet looks to be going the way too. Feel sorry for Blackburn fans to be honest. I know Steve Kean's not the best manager in the world, but he's doing an ok job under the amount of pressure. They need to press the Venkey's out and get some structure in place for the club. I didn't know this until a few days ago, but no wonder all the other managers are coming out and supporting Steve Kean - Blackburn have no Chief Executive, so he's in charge of all the transfers! AC Milan have pulled out the Tevez deal allegedly, is ther ever going to be an end.
January 12, 201213 yr Carlisle have signed Liam Noble on a free transfer from Sunderland (thanks Y!kes) after two successful loan spells at Brunton Park. Also got Chantler from Manchester City on an 18 month deal also after a loan spell.
