February 5, 201114 yr Skybet have Blackpool 6/4 to get relegated. Very tempted, I'm almost certain they will be.
February 5, 201114 yr Skybet have Blackpool 6/4 to get relegated. Very tempted, I'm almost certain they will be. I hope they don't, but I think they will. Liverpool owe them two defeats next season. They are ridiculously tinpot though. Their whole handling over the Charlie Adam situation was ridiculously tinpot. Wolves have been v.good this season. Outclassed a lot of teams, they've just not had that little bit of luck.
February 5, 201114 yr Go on the Wolves! What a day that was, the best thing about it though is that it looks like I may finally have the pleasure of being a part of it next season. MASSIVE game at the top of the Championship next Sunday, who cares about some little Welsh derby tomorrow?! You could go up just in time to avoid the mighty Seagulls :D
February 5, 201114 yr I hope they don't, but I think they will. Liverpool owe them two defeats next season. They are ridiculously tinpot though. Their whole handling over the Charlie Adam situation was ridiculously tinpot. Wolves have been v.good this season. Outclassed a lot of teams, they've just not had that little bit of luck. They've done a very good job but I can't see them staying up. They're simply not good enough and are far too open. Against Man Utd it was dreadful what I was watching, 2-0 up and playing with a stupidly high defensive line. You'd have thought they'd learn when Hernandez went clean through and missed, but they didn't drop back a bit deeper until they were losing! The way they play does mean they create a lot of chances, yes. But the players on the end of those chances are not Premier League quality. Beattie may be a good buy but I don't think he'll be enough of an improvement.
February 5, 201114 yr You could go up just in time to avoid the mighty Seagulls :D Well it certainly looks like they're going up! I personally think we're better than we were last seaon, promotion is a realistic possibility but we can't afford any more injuries. Moussi is out for the season probably, a massive loss. 1 QPR 30 31 59 2 Nott'm Forest 28 16 52 3 Norwich 30 9 51 4 Swansea 29 11 50 5 Leeds 30 8 49 6 Cardiff 28 12 48 7 Millwall 30 9 45 8 Leicester 30 -1 45 9 Watford 28 12 43 10 Burnley 29 7 43 11 Reading 29 12 42 12 Hull 30 3 42 It's very tight and there's not a team there I don't fear. We've only played Watford twice too, have to play the other 10 still, including 6 of them in a row! Leicester are the team I fear the most. I just hope that Cardiff and Leeds stay down.
February 6, 201114 yr Author Something needs to be done about the refereeing in this league because it's utterly atrocious. For a league of this calibre and considering the amount of exposure it gets I find it shocking that I can say I wouldn't trust a single top flight ref to organise a piss-up in a brewery, especially when there's so much riding on results. If you performed as ineptly in your job as some of the referees and officials in this league do you'd be handed your P45 and kicked out on your arse faster than you can say 'Uriah Rennie', and yet week after week the refs are sub-standard and make such stupid decisions yet nothing gets done about it. Sick of it. Had Hopeless Halsey & assistant ref John Terry against Chelsea, then Anal Probert and the chuckle brothers today, buckling under the slightest bit of noise from the crowd and failing to spot the one hundred and five things wrong with all of Stoke's goals. I honestly dread to think who's going to be reffing us against Spurs as none of them are good enough, not a single one. Edited February 6, 201114 yr by y!kes
February 6, 201114 yr Try watching Conference football!!!! But I do agree. The standard is poor. The thing I hate the most is how they try to balance things out. For example say Liverpool are playing Stoke, and it is clearly a handball in the Stoke penalty area and Liverpool don't get a penalty, but the referee eventually hears that it was his mistake and it should have been a penalty. Then later in the second half there might be the slightest contact in the Stoke penalty box and Liverpool get a penalty but it shouldn't actually be a penalty. Referees do it all the time.
February 6, 201114 yr There's a simple solution to this.... technology!! You can't have technology for something which is opinion, ony fact. Goalline technology is workable, nothing else is.
February 6, 201114 yr Di Mattero sacked... bloody hell, I hate modern day football. Cheers Sky! Awful decision. Their form has just started to pick up too. Granted they lost five in a row but have since got 4 points from 4 games, madness!
February 6, 201114 yr Torres starts  Wonder who'll be first to put a tackle in... Chelsea playing 4-3-3. Don't think it will work myself, but we'll see. Torres doesn't work well with a strike partner see Crouch, Keane and Villa as examples.
February 6, 201114 yr fu Torres. He was so $h!t today. Made up with the result and the performance though. Top class stuff. Kenny really has completely revitalised the Liverpool team. Top 6 now, still don't think we'll get 4th place, but if we carry on getting the results we are doing then it is definitely not out of the question.
February 6, 201114 yr Actually never been so glad to see Liverpool win; I'm fearing Kenny may actually get them somewhere. http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/51124000/jpg/_51124631_torres2_466x260getty.jpg
February 6, 201114 yr http://i.imgur.com/ftu73.jpg That one is better :D I know i'm definitely being biased, but the improvement in Liverpool is seriously outstanding. Suarez didn't even come on today, it's definitely exciting times to be a Liverpool fan again. That's four clean sheets in a row, which was a rarity under Hodgson. There's just so much discipline in the side today. I'm so hoping Liverpool can nick 4th but it's going to be tough. I don't know what Chelsea are going to do. The formation they played today clearly did not work as Liverpool controlled the midfield, so I don't think they will be playing 4-3-3 again in a hurry. Would actually give me such a huge smile if Chelsea did not make the top 4 :D
