Can someone please go to and tell Mr. Wenger that it's cold in this time of the year and he might consider choosing a bigger coat?

Mixed fortunes for Carlisle since I last posted in here. Won one (over Hartlepool) and got well and truly beaten by Peterborough. Recurring theme, a player called Liam for Carlisle got sent off in both matches.
Carlisle were absolutely awful Flatcap, probably the worst team i've seen at London Road all season. Peterborough honestly could have had at least 12/13, even without the sending off. Not once did I fear Carlisle were about to score, which is very rare for Peterborough :lol:
Thought it would have been another thriller like Brighton the other week. My dad managed to get to the game, think he has been drowning his sorrows in a pub as I haven't heard anything since. :lol:
The Carlisle fans seemed to be having fun, dancing around at 6-0 down and then some were singing songs outside the ground after the game :lol: I was expecting it to be a really tough game tbh, but it's probably ended Carlisle's chances of getting in the playoffs now, quite a big gap has opened up now that only Leyton Orient with their games in hand look like catching up.

True, 13 games unbeaten now for Leyton Orient. Best run for them since 1962 according to the sports news.

As for Carlisle, unless one of the other teams slip up we are definitely out of the play offs. My dad surfaced after a "few" beers last night. :lol:

Haha, what did he say about the game? What did he think to the red card? I thought it probably should have been a 2nd yellow, but I don't think Boyd would have got near it when he knocked it past the defender.

Talking of George Boyd, he is really hitting form at the right time of the season. He was poor from about September-February, but he's starting to run the show in the new diamond formation playing behind the 2 strikers but with a seemingly free role to roam all around the pitch. Really looking forward to the run-in!

Anyone planning on watching MK Dons v Peterborough tomorrow on sky? Should be a good game, both sides are in the top 6 atm and Peterborough will be looking to go into 2nd whereas MK will be looking to make a playoff place a bit more secure. I'm going to the game, can't wait :w00t:

da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da Luis Suarez

One thing I hate about football at the moment, is this awful period of winter weather we've had. Is really going to mess up teams chances of promotion/play-offs/relegation. The Conference is the worst for it, especially with the Tinpot trophy added into the equation.

Yeah, my Rushden & Diamonds fan mate has had loads of home games recently because of all the postponements this season. I was going to go with him vs Grimsby on Tuesday, glad we didn't though, it got called off in the 2nd half due to fog even though apparently it was worse in the 1st half than the 2nd, baffling. :mellow:

Haven't got much out of my dad about that game bar the fact that it was the worst Carlisle performance he had seen in the years he has been watching Carlisle. Other than that he has been uncommunicative about the match with Peterborough last week. :lol:

Seem to have bounced back with a draw against Plymouth and a win over Bournemouth.

It has had a bad impact on Conference North and Conference South as well. I do follow those two non league divisions as well. Alfreton Town had a ridiculous amount of games in hand over the teams around them.

About Rushden's game with Grimsby, Edinburgh was blasting the decision to call the game off. I saw it on the BBC website.

Good luck with Monday's game Damon. :thumbup:

It's all going wrong for Bournemouth at the worst time, they look like they'll end up not even getting a playoff place even though they was 2nd a few weeks ago. They looked like they had got over the loss of Eddie Howe rather easily, but I think it's now looking like a big loss, especially if they do end up missing out!

I think that game being ended when it did ended Rushden's play-off hopes. Even though it really is so open. For a long time I thought Wimbledon were going to easily get a spot, but now I'm not too sure. They seem to be doing what York did last season and hitting a bad run of form right near the end.

We struggled today against Liverpool's new 4-3-3-3 formation;

Not going to moan about the scoreline, we were sht from start to finish. But I did make two observations;

1. If Andy Carroll is worth £35m, i'm worth at least £60m. He was absolutely woeful. And i'm glad.

2. "King" Kenny has apparently turned Liverpool into Blackburn/Stoke? They spent the majority of the match hoofing the ball up to the front men and playing the sort of long-ball stuff Allardyce had Bolton playing a few seasons ago. Yeah, great.

Meh, today more or less confirmed that this season is a total write-off. We're not going to finish higher than 8th, we're out of the cups so it's a nothing season of midtable mediocrity for us. Someone remind me again why I want to renew my season ticket? :mellow:

I thought Sunderland looked really good for the first 25 minutes. They never looked like scoring, but they looked good.

Carroll played well I thought. Definitely tried far too hard (understandable), and I thought he looked knackered after 40 minutes. Made a few wrong decisions and wasn't on the same wavelength as Suarez, but meh. He's still no where near fit. Hope he isn't picked for the England squad.

Liverpool played nowhere near as much of the long ball tactic as they did on Thursday night. It's mainly Carragher's fault. Our midfield was non-existant for long stretches as there was no creativity with Lucas and Spearing, and Carragher and Skrtel are 'hoofers', neither of them can the ball on the floor out of the defence. Credit needs to be given to Sunderland, as from the first five minutes they saw/anticipated what Liverpool were wanting to do all the time (Reina plays it short, and we play pass & move), but they kept closing down as soon as possible so we were forced to go direct.

To watch Bardo :cheer:

He was poor, though he looked like he was struggling with an injury and we'd already lost two players to injuries. You know things are bad when Bardo has a shocker :mellow:

The commentators were creaming themselves over Sunderland. Played some really good pass and move stuff up until the injuries. You just didn't have a goalscorer in the box, and Liverpool defended brilliantly. You looked to have your tactics set up really well. The defence never looked disciplined though, they were taking major gambles with 50/50 challenges, so it wasn't surprising when Mensah got sent off.
