The Wanted in the US Top 100? :o

I'll be even more gobsmacked if 'Glad You Came' managed to climb all the way to the #1 in the US (only because I can't imagine a British boyband doing well in America).

Snow Patrol entering now? How bizarre, it must have been cherrypicked a lot as the album came out this week in the US but it didn't even make the airplay charts. Very strange.

In fact, there's loads of highlights here.

Adele up to #2 - contender for #1 next week? :D

Kelly Clarkson rocketing up to #21 (her best single since 'Since U Been Gone' imo)

Gotye moving up to #58 - keep going!!! :w00t:

Lana Del Rey new at #91 - hopefully will continue climbing.

Yet this time 10 years ago I would've been hard pushed to find even one highlight in the US Top 100.

The Wanted are one of the last British acts I would ever expect to see on the Billboard Hot 100. Good on them, I hope 'Glad You Came' can become a decent-sized hit :D

Nice climb for Gotye and also great to see Lana Del Rey finally make an appearance.

Not happy that 'Turn Me On' is looking like being Guetta's biggest hit to date, here's hoping 'Titanium' will somehow be bigger when it's released. But in any case I can see Turn Me On being #1 for quite a while in the very near future. 'Set Fire To The Rain' should easily sneak at least the one week as well.

hope Adele will score her 3rd number 1 in the US with 'Set Fire to the rain'....

she yet needs a video in order to achieve that... where is it????

Has Adele performed 'SFTTR' on a high profile American TV show like The X Factor or The Voice to be as high as #2?

No, she's still on a break from live performances because of her throat issues :P Her performing return will be the BRIT Awards (not until the end of February). It's just clearly connecting strongly with the US public from its airplay. Can't believe how well it's doing without a video though, but then again this is Adele we're talking about, no success of hers should ever be unexpected really

I think iTunes and the power of the Internet is doing a lot in breaking foreign acts in the US. The other day at iTunes America I saw a little picture of One Direction saying coming March'12. Rebecca Ferguson also got a record deal. I'm hoping even Emile Sande can break it in the US.

Right on all counts.

I'm hoping she recovers fully by March/April and perhaps does an American Idol appearance for the 4th single. Don't even know if they'll go with Rumour or Turning Tables.
