Posted August 6, 200618 yr Hips Don't Lie gets another week at #1 and Oral Fixation jumps five places to #14. This makes her chart run; 54-3-2-1-2-2-3-1-1 Another good week and it wasn't even down to the fans multi-buying :D I think it's the TOTP factor and despite the lack of a live performance still gave it great promo. Looked like the main competition was from Rihanna and not from Christina :o What's the chances HDL will get it's fourth non-consecutive week at #1 next Sunday? Edited October 23, 200618 yr by Bashley
August 6, 200618 yr oh yes!!! cmon miss curves!! take them all on again and stay at #1 definately totp exposure, xtina fans didn't realise how it important it was to secure last weeks number #1 to close totp and get all that promo i'm glad the fans came out in force last week to buy the track and now thsi week the public are taking over so satisfying!! her airplay may rocket this could mean more sales next week could be 'the airplay factor' that keeps her at #1 but it will be tough we have to see the sales for this week and see how close #2 is plus rihanna's single is only 99p in hmv and has huge airplay
August 6, 200618 yr Author Apparently, she is up to #13 on the Airplay chart - I think a lot of local radio stations that are part of a chain added the song this week. And you're right about last week, it was a really imprtant #1 to get and I'm glad we all came together to do the business :D
August 6, 200618 yr im so glad she's #1 this week, and I dont think thers much competition next week either so you never know! :o I expect a big drop soon though, especially in september sometime when all these are released on the same week Beyonce JT Kelis Fergie Janet Jackson Outkast Evanescence Ciara

Thanks for posting those :D This would be her biggest selling week then at #1 if those figures are correct.
August 6, 200618 yr im so glad she's #1 this week, and I dont think thers much competition next week either so you never know! :o I expect a big drop soon though, especially in september sometime when all these are released on the same week Beyonce JT Kelis Fergie Janet Jackson Outkast Evanescence Ciara everything is going our way.....she has to drop at sometime we've had it so good for so long so we know its coming but in the meantime lets revel in the revelling, what big releases are coming in 2 weeks time? any big songs that could take her on? out of the above i think Beyonce, JT feel like number #1 songs, Fergie top 5, Kelis may underperform massively top 20 i reckon, Janet Top 10, Outkast Top 10, not heard evans track is it any good? Amy lee has a #1 singing voice so it may not be surprise if they nail it, ciara top 5 not as strong as 'goodies' if shakira descend slowly like sandi then i'll be happy
August 6, 200618 yr well done again shakira, thats 3 weeks no win total at number 1,good to see the album climbing back up to number 14 also,i hope it makes the top 10 very soon
August 7, 200618 yr for the next 2 weeks August 7 Mousse T Vs Dandy Warhols – Horny As A Dandy Orson – Happiness August 14 Alesha – Lipstick Arctic Monkeys – Leave Before The Lights Come On Cassie – Me & U Chamillionaire Ft Krayzie Bone – Ridin’ Iron Maiden – The Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg Lola – No Strings (Let’s Have Sex) Maria Lawson – Sleepwalking i think she could hold on this week, but will fall next week.
August 7, 200618 yr Author i think the album will make top 10 after the next single release. Me too :D The next single will make people who have been unsure whether to buy the album to go and get it as well as other people who maybe didn't like HDL but really like the next single.
August 7, 200618 yr Author Sales figures thanks to Mikey :D 01 Hips Don't Lie 33,466 14 Oral Fixation 14,284
August 7, 200618 yr I Think shakira should stay at number one this weekend and the weekend after Alesha – Lipstick will be number one << she is stupid to have not released it this week. erm is the ciara song the one which she ft's in? so what? thats a c**p song... i do LOVE her actual first song off her next album called GET UP .... it's a great song.. you must all hear.
August 7, 200618 yr I really want the album to go top ten this weekend, it is such a tease, up and down up and down. :(
August 7, 200618 yr [flash=450,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ci1mAnsVge8.swf This is the ciara song i was on about. and yes it's about time the album went top ten.. i'm shocked that it's still sold practically nothing in the uk :(
August 7, 200618 yr it's sold 142K, not bad for an album that priginally entered at #22 and never entered the top 10
August 7, 200618 yr i like the ciara track it is a grower, if she comes to the UK to do promo she could secure #1 it has a chance you never know the goal for OF2 in the UK is platinum status 300k so its great we are almost halfway, i never asked too much from OF2 in the UK its not an all out commercial album but i'm so glad the Uk are buying it and getting to hear la tortura!!
August 7, 200618 yr I wonder if the uk like la tortura.Do you think the price of the album will be slashed?
August 8, 200618 yr Author Looks like it could be another #1 week for Shakira; Singles 01 Shakira 02 Rihanna 03 Christina Aguilera 10 The Views Rihanna could be a surprise and get #1 but I doubt it since her downloads aren't as good as Shakira's - although she does have the cheap single in the shops.
