You don't have to ask something in the Chart forum that I already answered...

uh oh was that naughty of me?  its ok, its alright, i just wanted to know the chart position of hips don't lie :D

i'm so happy :D shakira will her strong legs climbing almost half a year since the song was released :cheer:
Please just notice that she's not selling more... she's just not falling as fast as others :P

Yeh, always important to note that... but it's still great, because the song has sold SO MUCH that it should be falling down like Britney's reputation... : )

^^

I wonder who is still buying hdl six months after release

You? :kink:

erm i think she could stay on the chart for another 2 months if it doesn't have to make way for illegal.. i don't think it has to  anyway illegal better make top 10.. i can't wait for the next sing;e :kink:

i was just thinking....xtina's last single "hurt" may give us some kind of indication on how well "illegal" may do because they have a few things in common both downtempo ballads and both will not be supported by the artist cause of tour commitments (although xtina is in rehearsals but shakira is performing) xtina did no promo to support "hurt" (she did have tv ads) and her fans and public got the single to #11, i think this will be the same for shakira we have to be prepared that it may miss the top10 anything can happen especially in mega tough december and if sony don't give her tv ads like xtina, but i'm hoping we can get her higher, top10 should be the mission!

We have a few things on our side compared to X tina though. There'll be two versions to download as well as two CD formats. It's scammy but I think we'll get it top 10 - I hope so anyway :D
Ironically, it will be much harder to get Illegal top10 than it was with HDL. I say ironically, because when I first heard both songs, I thought 'there's no way HDL will be forced into british people's ears... but Illegal seems promising' lol.

another difference is the high airplay xtina has or had remember she always gets radio1 a-listed but shakira blacklisted once again  i don't mean to be harsh but B*STARDS!! those radio 1 F*CKING B*STARDS FROM HELL i hate em!! with a passion

back on track...illegal isn't anywhere on the airplay charts she may not get much awareness coming up to the release, what radio station are playing her just radio2 and capital? we can forget about radio2 listeners they don't buy singles they'll be good for album boosting at best, we really need sony to do high profile tv ads to reach a wider audience but anything can happen

I don't get why radio 1 hasn't added her again.. what have they got against her?
Hips dont lie chart run is amazing, 100% stands out from the crowd
^^^ she is definately a contender for best chart run of the year its between her "hips don't lie" and from "paris to berlin" both did climbs, yoyoing and had longevity

How many weeks did Paris to Berlin stay on the chart for?

I don't get why radio 1 hasn't added her again.. what have they got against her?

this is the 4 or 5th single in a row they haven't play listed, i think cause english is not her first language they have a problem with that, i remember when WW was out they didn't play it for weeks then they reluctantly added it for a short while as c list then stopped playing her :(

How many weeks did Paris to Berlin stay on the chart for?

heres the chart run within the top30 but they had more weeks beyond 30 within top75

28 - 4 - 3 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 8 - 8 - 12 - 8 - 12 - 14 - 15 - 23 - 30 (18 week)

interesting chart run!! all that climbing and falling very unusual  but shakira's is mightier she got to #1 twice
