HDL spends it's 4th week at #1 and increases it's run to 10 weeks in the chart.

can you believe it?? her amazing chart run and the steady sales of OF2 too, HDL almost 30k again in its 10th week!!

 

plus the big difference between her and the competition they can't take her on but shakira has peaked in her 10th week on the chart next week artic monkeys looking good for #1, i don't mind let them have it we've had it so good for weeks

 

interesting to see how much infernal sold and sandi this week i think the YTD chart positions #2, #3 and #4 are very close for this week but next week shakira races ahead :cheer:

great to see her hold onto number 1 for another week,oral fixation still top 15 which is ok but i prefer to see it within the top 10,

 

here in out charts in ireland hips dont lie is number 1 for the 9th week,and oral fixation 2 is number 4 up from number 5 and so far has peaked at number 2

I think OF2 will go to ten uk next week and hips down to 2 or 3.

well im hoping gets to the top 10 at some stage,i do think hips dont lie will fall next week but it could well hang onto number 1 also

i don't know though i can't see HDL at #1 this week so many new releases bombarding the top 10 she may drop a few places but she has longevity on the charts hopefully she'll be around in the top10 for a few weeks we could get some yo yo action too which is always niec to see in chart runs

yes gnarls had a 8 week in total number 1 here in ireland as shayne ward knocked gnarls of for 1 week with no promises

With hot new releases in scant supply and every record in the Top 10 suffering declining sales, the singles market last week shrunk to 1,012,965 - its lowest level for 30 weeks, writes Alan Jones

 

It’s a mark of its weakness that a 10-week-old single topped the chart with sales of under 30,000 but still managed to outsell its nearest rival by more than 50%.

 

Sales don’t lie, and for the third week in a row and fourth week in all, Shakira and Wyclef Jean are number one with Hips Don’t Lie. On its ninth week in the top three, the track sold 28,638 copies last week - a decline of 14.4% - to take its cume to 287,012. By close of business today (Monday), it will be the second biggest seller of the year, overhauling both From Paris To Berlin by Infernal (289,142) and Sandi Thom’s I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker (292,752). Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy, the runaway leader, has sold 781,900 copies...

 

If Shakira slips in sales again this week, Arctic Monkeys would only need to sell 29k to be #1. That doesn't seem too hard for them - especially when this new single isn't on the album. Alesha could easily do that as well I think because I bet her physical sales are good.

 

There's also Chamillionaire and Cassie which look set to go top 10 so shakira could drop a few places this week.

she is ahead in the new update by only 400, i hope she can maintain this or even stretch her lead but it will be unexpected if she gets #1 again considering there are some big new releases and climbers it could turn into a battle, can she take them all on again?

Yeah she is! :o I think we'll see a climb from Arctic Monkeys though because their downloads have only just got going. I reckon Shakira will be #3 by the end of the week.
