August 30, 200618 yr my hmv shelf analysis is becoming true cause wednesday update has shakira firm at #2 so she is in no danger by the scissor sisters she is also causing an upset by outselling beyonce too who has only been on the chart for 2 weeks
August 30, 200618 yr also i think this is the last week for 'the holiday factor' cause everyone is now back in the UK school starts next week but we have to give a big thanks to all the planes load of people returning every week from europe who went to the shops to buy it and for the last of them buying it for this week too
August 30, 200618 yr Author I went into my town today and it seems there is Shakira everywhere! I went into HMV and along with OF2 on the "New" shelves was FO1 in prime viewing position. And in Manchester the other day OF2 was sat on the shelves next to Laundry Service. HMV also have loads of Grandes Exitos now but for £8. In Woolies they had Grandes Exitos on show in the cheap chart and in music zone they had Laundry Service in their cheap chart and on the shelves with OF2 - it's like Laundry Service days all over again!
August 31, 200618 yr Author iTunes pop charts: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/pudsack/popcharts.jpg It went top 30 on the main chart yesterday - I think 28 - which is the highest it's been on iTunes. Currently it's 34. Edited August 31, 200618 yr by Ashley
August 31, 200618 yr Author Laundry Service has been in the chart for the past few weeks: This week 113. (110) LAUNDRY SERVICE (Shakira)
September 4, 200618 yr Author Hips Don't Lie http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000F7MKPQ.01._SCMZZZZZZZ_V52045205_.jpg 12/06/06 54-3-2-1-2-2-3-1-[1]-1-1-2-2 (13weeks) Sold: 367357 Oral Fixation Vol. 2 http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000BS31RU.02._SCMZZZZZZZ_.jpg 06/03/06 [22]-45-65 Re-released 19/06/06 14-17-[12]-14-16-19-14-15-14-15-16 (14weeks) Sold: 200k ? This sales info is a sickener: Last week, the battle for number one was settled by downloads - both Beyonce and Shakira’s singles tallied exactly 15,162 physical sales but Beyonce’s downloads were 14,203 compared to Shakira’s 10,673. It’s pretty clear cut this week, with Timberlake’s 36,803 CD sales, 699 12-inch sales and 12,054 digital sales making a combined tally of 49,556 - more than twice as many as any Shakira’s Hips Don’t Lie, which remains at number two, with its sales down 4.9% at 24,556. That’s exactly 25,000 less than SexyBack. Can anyone confirm the total for Hips Don't Lie - I'm not sure because I didn't update the sales last week - but I might've done and forgot  Edited September 4, 200618 yr by Ashley

September 4, 200618 yr Author Cheers! The reason I was thrown off was because someone said she would reach 400k next week so when I got 367,357 - I thought I must of missed a week out!

September 10, 200618 yr shakira still top 5 but only just at #5 the strongest week of competition for her this week but she is hanging on in there in her 15th week, how many weeks were gnarles, infernal and sandi in the top 10? i think shakira has the longest run this year with 14 weeks i hope she cleared 20k this week, get ready to add it to the chart run 400k is getting closer

So, congrats Shakira, that's another record ^_^ thanks for that!! a nice record she got there for this year and maybe this decade? she'll get the most week in the top 40 for 2006 too beating i think kooks or infernal hold it now with 20+ weeks? not sure, her stay in the top10 won't be beaten easily, it will have to be a summer song dominating the charts when sales are relatively low bring on next summer i say when Wyclef Jean 'L-O-V-E' featuring shakira should be released, they did it once how about twice!!
