Similar to the songs of the week, I thought this could be interesting and maybe introduce casual fans to versions of songs they haven't heard before. We'll start with...

Music Inferno (Confessions Tour)

Music has been performed during each of the four tours since its release back in August 2000 and 2006's Confessions Tour performance incorporated Disco Inferno, a classic of the disco genre by the Trammps which was used on the soundtrack for Saturday Night Fever in 1978; in homage to this Madonna and two of her dancers wore 70s white disco suits with flared trousers, a look which was naturally FABULOUS. I think Music lends itself extremely well to the Disco Inferno mash-up, but then it sounds great in any incarnation. I'd say the performance was among the highlights of the tour and to say it's seven minutes long it absolutely flashes by, it's a real riot. What say you?

I say it is overlong by FAR, there was a promo radio edit for some Radio station that did the rounds in 2007 that was 3.48 or something and is actually quite good, but I can't be doing with the full thing and always skip it when listening to/watching the tour. In terms of the best live versions of Music, none of them have been very good (not helped by poor source material), but I'd go for the Promo Tour as being best because it's relatively simple/similar to the album mix.

Reinvention version was pretty faithful to the original wasn't it? And I can't bring to mind the Drowned World version right now...

Re-Invention was some kind of bizarre extended quasi remixed thing with lots of random synthy beepy sounding noises in the intro. Not 4 me. I don't care to recall the Drowned World Tour AT ALL.

And the less said about the faux-orgasm S&S performance the better.

The orgasm MOANS on the S&S version are BRILLIANT!

Guys, HOW can you forget the DWT version it was a classic that ended the show.

As for Music Inferno, I remember I never wanted it on the setlist and how wrong was I, when I went to see the show I couldn't believe how f**king great it was. It's my favourite version of music.

If you remember on american interview in 2005. - they gave Madonna a camera to follow her for 24 hours and when Madonna was getting ready to go to the clubs to promote Confessions, the music in the background was a remix of Music Inferno! - genius!.

The orgasm MOANS on the S&S version are BRILLIANT!

I don't often use the AGE thing against her, but in this instance I just don't think it appropriate. They don't add anything to it either, they are just there for an excuse for her to remind us how SEXUAL she is.

you couldnt have picked a better performance to start off with!!!

The disco / saturday night fever inclusion with the roller blades was a highlight of the tour, i totally love it!!

I actually love the version of music on the drowned world tour and on sticky and sweet tour, each time this has been performed it has been totally different. However the version posted here is my favourite by far!! If anyone does have a radio edit of this mix please let me know!!!
