Robbie Williams’ hunt for first four fans

Fan-tastic ... Robbie Williams and quartet of ladies

ROBBIE Williams was snapped in Saturday Night Fever gear on a fancy dress night

Robbie Williams to conquer world We’re loving aliens instead Take That show Progress in video Robbie is taking his robot OM The singer posted this snap on his website inviting the four very 1980s ladies to get in touch.

As an incentive, he'll say hello to them at one of his gigs.

Robbie was 14 when the snap was taken – not long after having his first perm.

The hairdo also had a dollar sign shaved into the back of it.

His old barber must have moved on to Harry Styles.

PAINTINGS of dogs dressed as humans are usually confined to pubs. But Robbie Williams has a mini-collection inside his LA pad featuring his own beloved mutts.

The singer has immortalised his pets in portraits based on famous old masterpieces.

His collection includes tributes to sadly departed German Shepherd Rudy and the late Duke, who's dressed like Henry VIII.

Robbie himself features in one portrait – with his dog Betty in Renoir guise. He claims it shows them at a Lady Gaga concert.

The star is pretty good with a paintbrush but admits this handywork isn't his doing.

He's going to spend a week playing with his mutts before concentrating on his new solo work. Not sure which he'll prefer.

We never forgot Robbie

Tracked them down ... Vanessa Price, Diane Barker, Louise Eley and Sarah Jones

He may be a cardboard cut-out but still, at least the fans are real.

The singer found an old photo featuring himself and four ladies from the 1980s, and wanted to know their whereabouts.

Bizarre gave his search a nudge and managed to track down Vanessa Price, Diane Barker, Louise Eley and Sarah Jones.

Their original meeting with Robbie was reminiscent of a storyline in The Inbetweeners — but far less sordid.

Vanessa said: "It was at a caravan park in Scarborough in 1988. Robbie's dad was working there for the season as a compere and had a staff caravan we went back to. He must have taken the photo.

"Robbie was a really good dancer. We used to stand in a row in the nightclub there with him in the middle and we'd face this long mirror and do the dance to Blame It On The Boogie, all moving our heads at the same time.

"I remember him having loads of holes in all of his socks  . We used to take the mickey out of him all the time for it.

"He did tell us that he had just joined a band, but it would have been really early days then."

Wonder what ever happened to them

Those girls look better now than they did in the 80s. Then again, I think the same could be said for most of us. The decade of tragic hairdos...

X Factor star Craig Colton has revealed he’s’ been working with Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow on his debut album.

Liverpool singer Craig, who finished fifth on last year’s show, has explained how he’s been staying in touch with Robbie since they met at judges’ houses last summer.

The chart topping singer joined former Take That band mate Gary Barlow to help him decide the final three boys in his category

“I’m hoping to go to LA in the summer to record. And when I’m out there I’ll get to see Robbie,” Craig told local newspaper the Liverpool Echo this week. “I’ve been sending him everything I’ve been doing.

“I’ve been speaking to Gary too, he’s been supporting me. But it’s so nice Robbie has kept in touch and made sure he’s involved.

“I’ve been emailing him some lyrics and he’s been helping me. If something needs to be changed he’ll send it back to me with ideas of how I could rewrite it to sound better.”

Craig added: “He’s a genius. One of my songs is called Beautiful Surprise and I would love it to be my first single. And Robbie said it was a lyrically genius song.

“I want to show I’m not just a boy who went on a TV show and that I can write songs.”

Craig will one of nine X Factor stars taking part in this year’s live tour, which kicks off in Manchester on February 25.

Oh....

Interesting. Sounds like Robbie is more involved than Gaz though

Craig was the singer with the wonky mouth wasn't he?

Unrecognized UK Talent: A World of Talent Beyond Our Shores

The United States is the Mecca for accomplishment. Our movie stars are the biggest, our television actors the most renowned, and our music artists the most successful. With us, if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere. So why is it that some of the world’s most famous acts have trouble breaking through our neck of the woods?

For the past several years, it seems as if artists like Beyoncé, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga and always occupy the number one spot on the Hot 100. It feels like there’s some confidential gathering of the industry’s biggest stars to decide who will take what weeks of the year atop the charts. But what of those from across the pond?

Although they have been on hiatus since late 2009, the all-female group Girls Aloud has become one of the United Kingdom’s best-selling artists. Formed in 2002 on the talent show Pop Stars: The Rivals, they had an impressive streak of 20 Top Ten hits, four of which hit number one, as have each of their five studio albums.

One of the group’s members, Cheryl Cole, has become possibly the UK’s most famous woman, releasing two number one-selling solo albums since 2009. Her debut solo single “Fight for This Love” became a huge success, hitting number one in six countries and the top five in another eight. Her second album, Messy Little Raindrops, debuted at number one in the UK, with the lead single “Promise This” hitting number one in Ireland, Scotland and the UK Singles Chart.

Continuing the group trend, boy band Take That has sold an estimated 40 million records. The quintet became the musical phenomenon of the 90s. Their 1995 single “Back for Good” is the most successful song ever made by a boy band, topping the charts in 31 countries, including a top-ten berth here. However, the guys split just a year later, before attaining any further US success. They reunited in 2010, but have failed to reach listeners in America.

In that group was Robbie Williams. After being ousted in 1995, Williams launched a massively successful solo career, recording eight studio albums en route to record sales in excess of 70 million, making him one of the best-selling artists of all time. Williams’ impact on music in Europe and Central and Latin America has been enormous. Yet many people here have never even heard of him.

Another boy band, Westlife, has sold 44 million records in their 14-year career, which will end with a farewell tour this year. The group struck gold with their 1999 single “Flying Without Wings,” which hit number one in the UK and Ireland and entered the top 20 in another seven countries. It was voted record of the year by the UK public, the first of four the quartet (fifth member Bryan McFadden left in 2004) would win.

James Morrison has spent the last six years establishing himself as one of the eastern world’s most popular acts. His debut album, Undiscovered, went to number one in the UK, with the single “You Give Me Something” becoming a top 10 hit in over eight countries. Morrison has released two number one records since, and has worked with artists like Jason Mraz, Jessie J and Nelly Furtado.

Last is Australian singer Kylie Minogue, who has released 11 albums since 1988 and as of 2012 has achieved record sales of approximately 68 million. Her success has created fan bases essentially everywhere in the world - except, of course, the US.

These are just a few examples of a fact so horrifying, so unbelievable, even mumbling the words may cause Americans to drop dead: Europe is rich with talent, some of which has spent years building an iconic legacy. The artists mentioned in this article have sold over 230 million records worldwide. Americans should take a break from our own artists; there is literally a world of talent beyond our shores.

Robbie Williams in hunt for JFK killer

GEEKY pop hero Robbie Williams has ditched his flying saucer obsession to investigate the assassination of JFK 49 years ago.

The Take That idol spent years studying UFOs.

But now Robbie - 38 last Monday - has turned his attention to the 1963 shooting of US President John F Kennedy in Dallas.

And in a website message to fans, he claims he's built up a mass of evidence at his Los Angeles mansion.

His new passion was fired because wife Ayda's granny had worked for detectives probing the killing, which conspiracy theorists blame on government agents.

Robbie said: "I currently have the biggest private collection of evidence amassed, to the best of my knowledge, on the case.

"I have ten folders I've been sifting through. It's the 50th anniversary of JFK's death next year and I believe these documents should be in a museum

This is old news I came across but thought I'ld post it anyway as I know how much Jups would love an Adele & Robbie duet to take place

http://www.contactmusic.com/news/adele-ruins-duets_1118674

'Chasing Pavements' singer Adele won't be doing any duets on her next album because she thinks she spoils them.

Adele "ruins" collaborations.

The 'Chasing Pavements' singer won't be doing any duets on her next album because she thinks she spoils them.

However, Adele does enjoy joining other musicians for live performances.

She said: "I'm not doing any collaborations, I think I ruin collaborations.

"I love to sing with people live, rather than on record."

Adele admits she would bend the rules if 'Bodies' singer Robbie Williams asked her to sing with him.

She added: "If I could do one with anyone - Robbie? Any day, I love a bit of Robbie."

Adele, 21, also said she's taking her time with the follow-up to her debut album '19' - released in January last year - to ensure it meets the benchmark she has previously set.

She said: "I'm writing it slowly but surely. You're only as good as your next record so if you rush it you end up losing that little niche you've created for yourself, and you'll end up with a s** t record."

Ohhhhhhh

Oh well, kudos to her for having the guts to admit she loves Robbie. ^_^

Mother Jupiter watched the Brits believe it or not. She'd no idea who Adele was. Never heard of her. And her opinion? ' Oh, I thought she was very good. Really good voice. But her a**e is far too big'.

Mother Jupiter can be quite cutting for a 77 year old.

* She says the same about my a**e by the way.... <_<
