Posted February 3, 201213 yr The band's management are in early talks with production companies about the show. The idea follows on from the success of the Sky Living series about Steps getting back together last year...... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showb...ocumentary.html Possibly the best news in ages.... February 3, 201213 yr YES YES YES YES!!!! PLEASE let this be true! I love Atomic Kitten, got back into them last year, really hope this is true.
February 3, 201213 yr Meh, always my least fave of the early 00s wave of girlbands... Really didn't expect them to be back ever again though :o There's even rumours that they are representing the UK at Eurovision!
February 3, 201213 yr I listened to It's OK only a few days ago. Love that song because of the lyrics.
February 3, 201213 yr It could be a happy coincidence that BBC will announce their ESC representative soon too :) Love Atomic Kitten :D
February 3, 201213 yr It surprises me that everybody seems so pleased about this. If ever there was a girlband nobody ever wanted or needed back, it's Atomic Kitten. I liked them at the time but I can't think of 5 songs now that I'd listen to (and I am pretty obsessed with the format/genre.)
February 3, 201213 yr It could be a happy coincidence that BBC will announce their ESC representative soon too :) Love Atomic Kitten :D If so then the reunion shows should be screened on BBC One! I can't complain at this news, I count Right Now and Ladies Night amongst my top 50 favourite albums ever and they topped my personal chart with Eternal Flame, It's Ok, Believer and Ladies Night...I've always loved them  Not that there's probably any market for a comeback of theirs of course, with Steps you could feasibly see why there was one, it was escapist cheesy pop, AK were always criticised for being too bland and it's not like the UK charts are missing bland at the moment. Still, this is only how I think others will see it, I'm absolutely ecstatic :w00t:
February 3, 201213 yr I will always have a soft spot for Atomic Kitten - Whole Again and The Tide is High ( !) basically sound tracked my childhood   however, they do seem the sort of band that are well past their sell by date
February 3, 201213 yr Author It seems a new album (well old songs) is out in a fortnight!! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Essential-Collecti...2169&sr=8-4 Exciting!
February 3, 201213 yr £4.99? Pre-ordering that right now! If only just for Something Spooky  That's a great tracklist actually, looking forward to having that on my iPod already! Very budget release though, obviously they won't be doing anything nearing a Steps in terms of success, with this release it seems like they've admitted defeat before they've begun.
February 3, 201213 yr More misses than hits for me I'm afraid, the notable exceptions are "Last Goodbye" and "Someone Like Me" which of course are utterly supreme!
February 3, 201213 yr I hope they do comeback and managed success, they did a few good pop songs that i still like such as whole again, tide is high and its ok to name a few. The essential collection that is been released has a pretty good track listing and also comes at a great price so it might sell well for the budget chart, but the fact they offically released a greatest hits that done well enough plus there was a release called the collection out before might hamper sales and this new collection will probably only be bought by the loyal hardcore fans.

February 3, 201213 yr I don't know why they have mentioned that Heidi was in the line up once. Yeah there was a Liz-Heidi-Kerry line up, but I don't think they did much beyond record a few songs, if that. The Natasha-Kerry-Liz line up only managed 4 top 20 hits. If they are going to reform it needs to be Liz-Jenny-Natasha as that is the most successful and recognisable line up.
February 4, 201213 yr Good Lord, I never thought I would see the day (let alone anyong being excited by the prospect) of their return. They were average at best at their peak, so quite why they would come back (aside from $$$ - and surely even that would be minimal) I don't know.

Somebody douse me in oil and set me on fire. These are more the responses I expected/hoped for! I really really do not see the appeal at all. They're SO out of date it's UNREAL, I mean I know Steps are the same but Atomic Kitten weren't even good then... Whole Again is fabulous admittedly, but it's the only of their songs I'd actually even dream of going back to.
